My study focuses on the various apocalyptic calculations in the fifth postil written by Péter Bornemisza. According to the theologians of the magisterial Reformation, the exact time of the end cannot be calculated because only God knows this, as the Gospels clearly state it. Although Bornemisza accepts this doctrine too, he shares some assumptions about the approximate time of the second coming in a sermon of his postil. As my study demonstrates, Bornemisza follows the treatise of the German theologian Andreas Osiander (Coniecturae de ultimis temporibus ac de fine mundi, 1544). In this work, Osiander enumerates four calculations which can predict the time of the Apocalypse. The common feature of these calculations is their biblical origin, except for the first one, which is the apocryphal prophecy of Elijah about the 6000 years of the world. The other assumptions are based on the allegorical passages of the prophecies of Daniel and the Apocalypse.

A folyamatteológia nem úgy épül fel, mint a hagyományos rendszeres teológiák. Az „Istenről”, „Jézusról”, „Szentlélekről” és az „Egyházról” fejezetcímek távol állnak a folyamatteológiai gondolkodástól még akkor is, ha a folyamatteológiai munkák esetenként önálló fejezeteket, sőt önálló könyveket is jelentenek a fent említett kérdéskörökben. A folyamatteológia ugyanis filozófiai teológia, és tartózkodik a „kijelentéspozitivizmustól”. Ezért csupán arról beszélhetünk, hogy e teológiai megközelítés miként használja az „Isten” szót.

A modern keresztyén zene felekezeti határokat nem ismerve hódítja meg a keresztyén fiatalok szívét, s nyer egyre nagyobb teret nem csupán külföldön, de magyar nyelvterületeken is. Ez sok helyen problémák forrásává vált, vannak gyülekezetek ahol a tradícióhoz, régihez mindenekfölött ragaszkodó lelkipásztor komoly összetűzésbe kerül az ifjúsággal vagy éppen két tűz között találja magát, ifjúság és a minden új ellen lázadó gyülekezet többi része között, ez új stílusú dicsőítés miatt. Minden esetre sok megválaszolandó kérdést vet fel ez a téma és mindaz, amit magával hoz. Aktualitása úgy gondolom egyértelmű, főként azoknak, akik gyülekezetben dolgoznak, és időről időre találkoznak a kérdéssel.
