The General Synod of 1820 is the subject of my Master's thesis. I believe that the topic and the sources it reveals are indispensable for the research of the Transylvanian Reformed Church history. I will start from the life of the church in the 19th century and move towards the source that I have uncovered. In the excavated source, points appear which are connected with the liturgical history, the history of the order, and the rules and customs of burial. A slice of this will be presented and unpacked in this essay. The information and the improved readability of the record will be useful for all those who wish to enrich their knowledge of church history.

A messiási titok gondolata legszorosabban Márk evangéliumához kapcsolódik. A kérdésről sokféle és igen változatos értelmezés látott napvilágot a kutatás több mint száz éves története folyamán. Noha a megnevezés nem magából az evangéliumból származik, mégis annak igen lényeges aspektusára világít rá. Középpontjában Jézus Krisztus személyének a titka áll.

Jelen dolgozatban két nagyon fontos témára térünk ki: a keresztségre és az úrvacsorára, melyek mindkét egyházban el vannak ismerve. Az alaphitvallásokat vesszük alapul, kiegészítve más tudományos iratokkal, melyek ezen témákat dolgozzák föl.

Dolgozatomban a Nagyenyedi Református Egyházmegye 1797-1798-as évek közötti vizitációs jegyzőkönyveit írtam át elektronikus formátumba és kimutatásokat készítettem. Ez a munka az egyháztörténeti kutatást hivatott segíteni.
