Apostle Paul and the Scriptures. An overview of current research and the price of progress. Among Dezső Kállay's biblical studies, the letters of the apostle Paul appear with special emphasis. Paul’s interpretation of the Scriptures was deeply rooted in the active Scriptural tradition of his era, not isolated in hermeneutical vacuum. The Scriptures represented not just the written text but also its interpretation, thus the Israelites’ faith was likened to both a solid foundation and spiritual sustenance, as they “drank from the spiritual rock” (1 Cor 10:4). This study aims to map the key research trajectories concerning Paul’s citations of the Bible. It begins by addressing fundamental issues within accepted consensuses, then evaluates the current state of research, informed by the six-year efforts of the Paul and Scripture Seminar under the Society of Biblical Literature and its two resultant publications. We may conclude that we know more and less at the same time.

A szimbolikus interakcionalizmus-deviancia elméletének talaján kidolgozott minősítési vagy címkézési elmélet Jézus-kutatásra néző hasznosíthatóságát már az 1980-as évek végétől felvetették. Az evangéliumok lapjain ugyanis számos vád hangzik el Jézus ellen, amelyeknek értelmezéséhez hasznos keretet nyújthat a címkézési elmélet. E tanulmány áttekinti a Jézus ellen elhangzó vádakat, majd részletes elemzéssel a Belzebubbal való szövetség vádja felé fordul.

A minák, illetve talentumok példázata Istenről, illetve a mennyek országáról szól. De vajon ez kötelezően azt is jelenti, hogy Istenről is szól? Vajon a nemes ember, aki azt mondja magáról, hogy könyörtelen ember, mert behajtja azt is, amit nem fektetett be, és learatja azt is, amit nem vetett el, tényleg Istenre vonatkoztatandó allegorikusan? A példázatok jelenlegi kontextusát az evangéliumok eszkatologikus példázatai képezik, főként Máté evangéliuma esetében. De hogyan változik a példázatok olvasata, ha azokat az 1. század 30-as éveinek galileai paraszti társadalmának összefüggésében halljuk? Hát akkor, ha azokat Máté evangéliumának szegényekre és elnyomottakra néző anyagának kontextusában látjuk, ahol nem lehet egyszerre két urat szolgálni: mammont (pénzt) és Istent, profitot és Isten országát?

Evangelisation through reformed eyes. This study was presented at a small conference of reformed and catholic theologians. The presentation of evangelisation through a reformed prism is underlined by thoughts of great reformed predecessors. There are five points, all presenting a different aspect of this question. The first treats the fashion of evangelisation. Because of the fact that evangelisation, as a term is not firmly identified, using different slogans and dealing with evangelisation as a fashion could be dangerous. This is why a good definition with the approval of all Christian churches is needed. Another important thought of this first point is the fact, that evangelisation is not new, by no means a fashion, it is only the submission to an ancient, biblical command of the great mission.
