Az Újszövetség keresztelésről szóló szövegrészei igen sokszínűek, ennek ellenére lényegében két csoportba sorolhatjuk ezeket. Az egyik csoportba olyan szövegrészek tartoznak, amelyek a történeti Jézushoz kötődnek. Ezekkel értelemszerűen a történeti iratokban találkozunk elsősorban, s így egy bizonyos „történetiség” határozza meg őket. A történetiség szót azért tettem idézőjelek közé, mert az Újszövetség történeti anyagának írásba foglalása általában későbbi az inkább elméleti jellegű levélirodalom darabjainál, és ezekben természetesen a történésekhez, az eseményekhez kötődve fogalmaznak. Bár nyilvánvaló, hogy a történeti Jézus alakjának felidézését a már létező egyház hitvallása, tapasztalata és gyakorlata is befolyásolta, ez a történeti jelleg mégis erősebb a nem történeti Jézussal foglalkozó írásokénál, ahol a személyes hitvallás és a már részben kidolgozott elvek az elsőrendűek

Franz Bos személyét azért választottuk bemutatásra, mert esetében megtalálható a titkos rendőrség munkamódszerének valamennyi eleme: a szigorú határellenőrzéstől a részletes ügynöki jelentéseken, figyelmeztetésen és a több irányú technikai eszközalkalmazáson át egészen a nyomkövetésig.

The second half of the 20th century can be characterised by a consolidation of all state structures of the Communist Party. The most important institution in keeping the power was the Secret Police (Securitate), which exercised a strict control over the Churches, including the Hungarian Reformed Church. The Securitate was mostly interested in the foreign contacts of the church. After the Second World War the Reformed Church has kept its contacts with the Reformed Churches in Hungary, as well as with many other Western European churches from the former West Germany, Holland, Switzerland, etc. The Secret Police’s purpose was to gather as many information as possible about the different contacts, and to control the whole issue.

During the Communist regime, in the sixties of the 20th century, the Protestant Theological Seminary started the student exchange program with churches and institutions from the Western part of Europe, mainly the Dutch Reformed Churches. It was in 1968 when the first Dutch couple came to spend one study year in the Seminary. After them students have been arriving each year until the end of the eighties. Coming from a capitalist, “unfriendly” country, the Dutch students have always been watched at by the Securitate (Secret Police) very carefully. Many informers were recruited from among the Reformed pastors as well as seminary professors to control the whole study process of the foreigners. The documents included into this paper are perfect samples of how the Secret Police usually acted.

Freude aus der Verheissung des Evangeliums – Pfarrdienst in Diaspora und Volkskirche – so lautet das Thema unserer Tagung. Wenn man mich vor fünfundvierzig Jahren, als ich mein Theologiestudium abschloss, mit diesem Thema konfrontiert hätte, so hätte ich gesagt. Ja, selbstverständlich! Ich freute mich auf den Dienst in meiner Kirche. Ich wollte das Evangelium verkündigen. Wir waren damals von der Bibel und von der Theologie Rudolf Bultmanns geprägt, ein bisschen hatten wir auch von Karl Barth mitbekommen. Ich wollte damals nur eines: Pfarrer werden in meiner Kirche, der Evangelisch-Reformierten Landeskirche des Kantons Zürich in der Schweiz.

Die äußere Erneuerungsabsicht und die äußeren, erneuernden Kräfte muss sich mit unserem inneren Erneuerungsanspruch treffen. Es reicht heute nicht festzustellen, dass der geschichtliche Protestantismus an einer Relevanz und Identitätskrise leide und in Agonie verfallen sei, und dann darüber zu sprechen, was das bedeute. Nein, wir müssen aufbrechen in Richtung Erneuerung, in Richtung konkrete Reformation.

Most már lehetséges fentartás nélkül a vallástörténeti alapra helyezkedni és a vallás metafizikai oldalát minden csorba nélkül egészen természetesen érvényesíteni. Így egészen közel juthatunk a bibliához, és bele helyezkedhetünk annak eredeti világnézletébe. Ez által az élettelen, merev orthodoxia életet; a ma általában elfogadott pietizmus pedig csontot és izmokat nyer. A metafizikai alapon tartott vallástörténeti theologia az igazi keresztyén, és egyben tudományos theologia, mely a vallásnak úgy tapasztalati, mint metafizikai oldalát összefoglalja. Es nekünk igazi gyönyörűség volt Mk nyomán a nagy mindenség egész egyetemét bejárni Jézussal a mennyei Atya előtt: Galilea virágos lankáit és az egek transscendes magasságait.

Ez nem zengzetes új fordítás, nem is az evangélium versbe szedése; hanem annak lehető legeredetibb alakjába való visszaállítása szöveg, versforma és szerkezet tekintetében egyaránt. A szabad verselésnek ez a formája, mely napjainkban a modern irodalomban újból kezd tért hódítani, a római császárság korában volt virágzó. De a bibliai irodalomban még régibb, mert úgy tekinthető, mint az ősi prófétai verselés egyenes leszármazottja.
