A Zsoltárok könyve irodalmi alkotás, amelyben az irodalom a maga módszereit, metodikáját, formáját és stiláris jellegzetességeit kínálja fel a formán és sablonon túlmutató lényeg, a hit kifejezésére és annak esztétikai megfogalmazására. Jelen tanulmány ezzel a felkínált irodalmi jellegzetességgel és sajáttal akar foglalkozni, tehát a zsoltárok irodalomtörténetével, azokkal a kérdésekkel, amelyek felvetődnek valamely irodalmi alkotás műelemzése során, de főleg a prédikációra néző exegézis keretében.

Az alábbi sorok azt kísérlik meg, hogy formai és műfaji szempontból vegyék újra górcső alá a 116. zsoltárt, s a két módszer konkurenciájában próbáljanak döntésre jutni – persze nem egyik vagy másik módszer, hanem inkább a jobb értelmezés érdekében.

This paper is an expanded and somewhat more elaborated version of an earlier study in which I tried to give a general overview on the word-usage concerning the passion of Jesus Christ in the early Christian creeds. The purpose of this short paper is in part to give a comparative presentation of the sufferings of Lord Jesus Christ in the Western Creeds, and in part I also try to define the role of mentioning the name of Pontius Pilatus in them.

E helyen most arról kell szólanom, hogy a felvidéki református egyházban milyen módon jelentek meg a káték 1920-tól napjainkig. Tudnunk kell, hogy e kérdéskör taglalásánál nem ragadhatunk le pusztán azon műveknél, amelyeket a felvidéki református egyház adott ki az évtizedek folyamán, hanem egyben szólanunk kell, ha csak érintőlegesen is, azokról a kátékról, amelyek bizonyítottan használatban voltak, vagy talán még most is használatban vannak gyülekezeteinkben.

A hitvallás kérdése a teológiának az a területe, ahol összekapcsolódnak a teológiai tudomány ágazatai, a különböző szakterületek: az Ó- és Újszövetség, a rendszeres, a gyakorlati teológia és az egyháztörténet is, mert a hitvallásnak tartalmaznia kell a Kijelentés egészét, valamint a teológiai tudományok pozitív eredményeit stb. Mindegyik a Bibliában gyökerezik, és az egész keresztyén életgyakorlatot érinti. Amikor a hitvallások kérdésével foglalkozunk, rádöbbenünk, hogy a különböző teológiai szakterületeket nem lehet egymástól elvonatkoztatva, függetlenül tárgyalni, és főleg nem csupán elméleti síkon vizsgálni. Ráadásul a személyes istenhit kényszerítő ereje is hat minden hitvallásban.

Psalm-singing in the Community of Therapeutae Based on De vita contemplativa by Philo of Alexandria. The Therapeutae’s ascetic devotion is characterized not only by searching the scriptures, meditation and prayer but also by singing of hymns and psalms. Hymns were composed by the principals of the community, they were those who taught the community members to sing them and they continually enriched the hymnal with new ones. The Essenes’ and Therapeutae’s psalm-singing indicates first of all the common Old Testament origin. However these religious communities had different self-identity from that of the normative Jews and this identity required for a special psalm-poetry to be accomplished. The Therapeutae’s psalms remind us of the church psalm-tradition characterized, just like the Essene hymns, by responsive singing and refrains.
