Sőt a legborzasztóbb gyötrelem óráiban; a vérpad, lenyakaztatás, vízbefojtás vagy a megégetés kínos perceiben is, bátor bizonyságtevői voltak az Űr Jézus Krisztusnak.

Amerikában az ottani nagy protestáns egyházak, a methodista, baptista, református, lutheránus és anglikán egyházak köréből indult ki.
