A most előkerült nagyváradi Barth-interjú azért is fontos, mert eddig úgy tudták egy 1939-es levele alapján, hogy Barth feltételezhetően ettől a dátumtól kezdve tett egyenlőségjelet a bolsevizmus és a fasizmus közé, és hogy akkor állapította meg: a nemzeti szocializmus és a bolsevizmus egymásnak rokonai. Barth tehát ettől kezdve hitt a „Hitlerei” bukásában. Az interjúból azonban az derül ki, hogy mindezekről már 1936-ban is beszélt nyilvánosan, Nagyváradon.

In Jeremiah 28, there is a dispute between the prophets Jeremiah and Hananiah over the (il)legitimacy of prophecies of salvation concerning Judah and prophecies of judgement regarding Babylon. On the eve of Jerusalem’s fall to the Babylonians, the prophet Jeremiah, who proclaims judgement on Judah at the hands of Babylon, appears to be the true, genuine, canonical voice of God. While this text does not preclude the eventual authenticity of prophecies of salvation in the event that they are proven valid by being fulfilled, it nevertheless is rather strange that the book of Jeremiah ends with a collection of prophecies against the Chaldaeans. The anti-Babylonian statements in Jeremiah 50-51 are ascribed to the very same prophet who had once dismissed Hananiah for uttering similarly worded – and presumably uninspired – invectives before the people of Jerusalem.

A száz éve elhunyt Takács József református lelkipásztor hat évtizeden át szolgált Berettyószéplakon, és ott is halt meg 1919. március 8-án nyolcvanhat éves korában. Fekete obeliszk síremléke ott áll Berettyószéplak Zúgói temetőjében, és mellé helyezték nyugalomra gyermekeit is. 1990 után a református széplakiak Uszkay Huba lelkipásztor szolgálati ideje alatt (1995–2006) emlékeztek meg róla sírjánál március 15-én, november 1-jén, halottak napján pedig szintén sírjánál emlékeztek és emlékeznek meg. Ezért legfőbb ideje, hogy felidézzük e szorgalmas, gyülekezetét és népét szerető lelkipásztor alakját.

Der Misna-Traktat Nazir. II. Teil: Übersetzung und Erklärung der Kapitel IV–IX. Die kommentierte Übersetzung der ersten drei Kapitel des Misna-Traktats Nazir ist in dieser Zeitschrift erschienen (Református Szemle 101, 2008/2, S. 123–134.). Als Fortsetzung dazu bietet der Verfasser in diesem Aufsatz die ungarische Fassung der übrigen sechs Kapitel. Damit ist der Traktat Nazir zum ersten Mal vollständig, und mit beigefügter Kommentierung auf Ungarisch erschienen. Als Grundlage der Übersetzung wurde auch hier die folgende Ausgabe genommen: Mischnajot. Die sechs Ordnungen der Mischna. Hebräischer Text mit Punktation, deutscher Übersetzung und Erklärung. Teil III: Ordnung Naschim, Übersetzt und erklärt von M. Petuchowski und S. Schlesinger, Victor Goldschmidt Verlag, Basel, Dritte Auflage, 1968. Als Kontroll-Text wurde gelegentlich die folgende Übersetzung herangezogen: D. Correns: Die Mischna in deutscher Übersetzung mit einer Einleitung und Anmerkungen, Hannover 2002.

Der Aufsatz skizziert die Geschichte der Institution Nasiräertum von seinen Anfängen durch das Alte und Neue Testament bis zu seinem Verschwinden in der talmudischen Zeit.
