Nonetheless, while linguistic analysis may entice the reader with the promise of a higher degree of objectivity, preconceptions regarding the base text, its structuring, the construction of reading, and the interpretation of linguistic data involve a fair amount of subjective and debatable factors that confine Systemic Functional Linguistics within the methods to be tamed by responsible scholarship.

Elnéptelenedésére, majd népességének kicserélődésére a török uralom több mint másfél évszázada alatt, illetve az utána következő csaknem ugyanannyi ideig tartó osztrák fennhatóság alatt került sor. A kiegyezéstől az első világháború befejezéséig egy füzér telepesközség jelenik meg a Béga mentén, Lugos és Facsád között. Az akkori vezetőség bölcsen gondolta, hogy egy-egy helyre azonos vallásúakat telepít, ha nem is mindig egy ugyanazon helyről. Az államilag támogatott telepes falvakat harminc évvel megelőzve, Bunyaszekszárd az elvándorlóktól saját pénzen megvásárolt birtokokra épült.
