This article argues that Isa 29,15-24 is composed of five coherent segments. The early Isaianic word, 29,15+21, was reinterpreted in a new way by an exilic author in 29,16-17+20. The presupposed blindness of Yhwh serving as a motivation for an ungodly life by those addressed in 29,15, is reconsidered as the ideology of desperate people who deem the blindness of Yhwh explains the present desolate condition of Jerusalem. The former injustice in Isaiah's society (29,21) is reinterpreted as the injustice of the foreign tyrant against the people of Yhwh. Isa 29,18+24 (the blindness of the people) and 29,19+23d-e (the oppressed Yhwh-fearing people) elaborate on the same theme in a larger context and presuppose a similar situation and author as implied by 29,16-17+21, probably to be identified with Deutero-Isaiah.

Talán úgy, hogy van egy fogalom a maga jellemzőivel, amelyekből kirajzolódik egy kép, és ebbe illeszkedik bele egy személy, aki a politikát esetleg foglalkozásként műveli, és abból él. Ennek a mércének valahol az egyház is megfelel. Mert nem mindegy, milyen az egyház, milyen jellemzői vannak, és az sem mindegy, hogy milyenek annak tagjai, illetve hogy a fogalom miként határozza meg azokat, akik azt képviselik, és rajtuk keresztül milyen kép alakul ki mások szemléletében. Ebben az összefüggésben az egyházpolitika fogalmának is van üzenete. A fogalom arra utal, hogy valamilyen módon kapcsolat áll fenn az egyház és a politika között. Akármilyen is legyen a politika, abban ott van az egyház, annak tagjai meghatározhatják a politikát, nem beszélve azokról, akik közöttünk élnek, és politikusként egyházi emberek.

Negative Aspects in the Picture about יהוה. Approaches of Three Writers of Old Testament Theology. Different modes of interpretation drive to different conclusions. This study examines these differences in the works by W. Eichrodt, G. von Rad- and W. Brueggemann of Old Testament theology. The two former authors use the historical interpretation, while the third one is the representative of the rhetorical and narrative theology. The theme of Yahweh’s negative aspects is always a stumbling-block not only for laymen, but also for the scholars of theology. Differences deriving from interpretation are illustrated through three biblical examples: the heavenly scenes in 1Kings 22 and Isaiah 6, Saul’s story, and that of the Book of Job.
