Jób 19,25–27 talán a könyv legismertebb szövegrésze. Ez a perikópa számos alkalommal hangzik el temetéseken, s minden bizonnyal, a halál kérdéséről gondolkodó keresztyének is szoktak róla elmélkedni. Az itt írottak nem kívánják a hit korrekcióját végezni. Mert – rendszeres teológiai megközelítésben – a mindenkori Jób szenvedésből, bűnből, halálból való megváltója ugyanaz: a Krisztus. Ez a tanulmány nyelvészeti-poétikai vizsgálattal törekszik körvonalazni a szöveg jelentését. Egy (akár spontán) szöveg megalkotottságának mikéntje révén is üzen. Mennyivel inkább érvényes ez az írott, hagyományozott, szerkesztett, szövegváltozatában rögzített alkotásra. (Természetesen, fennáll a hibák lehetősége, de azok azonosításáig legyen érvényes a lectio difficilior elve.) E tanulmány tehát Jób azon szavait igyekszik megérteni, amelyek az ő helyreállítójáról szólnak, aki akkor is képes megváltani, amikor már elfogyatkozik a test és a szív.

In the past decades, research has raised the idea of a theology of the Septuagint (LXX) on various occasions. Important works were recently published on this topic in the Handbuch zur Septuaginta and the Septuagint and Cognate Studies series. The general theological tendencies of the LXX are identified by scholars in eschatology, messianism, anti-anthropomorphism and angelology. These tend to all be regarded as further developments of the theology of the Hebrew Bible (HB). However, one can trace the evolution of these and other main topics of the LXX in the New Testament (NT) and in the later apostolic writings as well. Based on three concise case studies, I point out the evolution of theological ideas from the HB through the LXX up to the NT in this paper.
