Pierre Abélard személye és munkássága több szempontból is színfoltot jelent a 11–12. században. Előadásomban egy kis szeletét szeretném körbejárni életművének: a két etikai művét vizsgálom. A Dialógus és az Etika is befejezetlen formában maradt ránk, viszont a szövegek elméleti jellegük mellett egy bábáskodó hangot is hallatnak, mely az Hadot-féle lelkigyakorlatra emlékeztethet bennünket. Mindennek fényében feltehetjük a kérdést: mi „hasznunk” származhat abból, ha dialógusra lépünk ezen szövegekkel?

Az 1560-as évek közepe táján és a második felében volt némi nyugodt időszak Szegedi életében, amikor alaposabban foglalkozhatott tudományos művei megírásával. A Locit is ekkor fejezhette be. És talán ekkor
fejezte be a másik terjedelmesebb munkáját is, amelyet alább ismertetünk: Tabulae analyticae, quibus exemplar illud sanorum sermonum de fide, charitate, et patientia, quid olim Prophetae, Evangelistae, Apostoli literis memoriaeque mandaverunt, fideliter declaratur.

This volume contains selected papers from the broader field of History of Christian Doctrines, and more specifically from Patristics and Reformation studies, but also from the border between them. Most of them were written in the academic year 2014-2015, during my MA studies in the field of Patristics at the Theological University of the (vrijgemaakt) Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, in Kampen. The main topic of the MA programme was the Baptism in the Early Church, therefore the most of these papers presents various aspects of this question. In the following few paragraphs I will present short summary of each paper from this volume.
