The General Synod of 1820 is the subject of my Master's thesis. I believe that the topic and the sources it reveals are indispensable for the research of the Transylvanian Reformed Church history. I will start from the life of the church in the 19th century and move towards the source that I have uncovered. In the excavated source, points appear which are connected with the liturgical history, the history of the order, and the rules and customs of burial. A slice of this will be presented and unpacked in this essay. The information and the improved readability of the record will be useful for all those who wish to enrich their knowledge of church history.

Az hogy valaki betagolódik az egyházba vagy sem, nagyon összetett és sokoldalú kérdés. S ha ez csak elszigetelt tapasztalat lenne, nem lenne szükséges erről a témáról írni. A „kikonfirmálás” viszont általános jelenség egyházunkban. Miben rejlik e probléma gyökere, hol találjuk a jelenség okait? Erre keresem a választ dolgozatomban, melynek fő témája a fiatalok egyházi szocializációja.

Dolgozatomat hét nagy egységre osztottam fel. Az első nagy pontban a Nagyenyedi Református Egyházmegye rövid bemutatásáról lesz szó. A második pontban a kor református egyháztörténetéről teszek említést, bemutatva az uralkodókat. Harmadik pontban az esperes szerepéről teszek említést, majd a kormányzási szervekről és tisztviselőkről lesz szó. Negyedik pontban a lelkipásztorok, tanítók és egyházfik névsorát fogom bemutatni táblázatban, a jobb átláthatóság kedvéért. Ettől a ponttól kezdődően a jegyzőkönyv feldolgozásával és bemutatásával foglalkozom. Az ötödik pontban a vizitációt, mint fegyelmi hatóságot mutatom be, vázolva a lelkipásztorok, tanítók, illetve gyülekezeti tagok fegyelmi ügyeit. A hatodik pontban a vizitációt, mint gazdasági hatóságot mutatom, melyben szó esik az épületek állapotáról, a gyülekezeti földek és erdők helyzetéről, a lelkipásztorok béréről és a gyülekezetek anyagi helyzetéről. Hetedik pontban pedig az 1792.
