Pavel din Tars a intrat în istoria creștinismului ca apostol al neamurilor. A fost un predicator neobosit și un învățător inspirat al Evangheliei lui Dumnezeu, care și-a îndeplinit misiunea cu cea mai mare fervoare și devotament necondiționat până la sfârșitul vieții sale. Cu povestea sa de viață fascinantă și cu experiența sa considerabilă în plantarea și consolidarea bisericilor creștine, el se află astăzi în fața noastră ca un om demn de atenția fiecărui slujitor. În ciuda unicității sale, el ne stă înainte în multe feluri ca un exemplu de înțelepciune, sobrietate, puritate, răbdare, altruism, moderație, fidelitate și dragoste frățească sinceră.

In the past decades, research has raised the idea of a theology of the Septuagint (LXX) on various occasions. Important works were recently published on this topic in the Handbuch zur Septuaginta and the Septuagint and Cognate Studies series. The general theological tendencies of the LXX are identified by scholars in eschatology, messianism, anti-anthropomorphism and angelology. These tend to all be regarded as further developments of the theology of the Hebrew Bible (HB). However, one can trace the evolution of these and other main topics of the LXX in the New Testament (NT) and in the later apostolic writings as well. Based on three concise case studies, I point out the evolution of theological ideas from the HB through the LXX up to the NT in this paper.

Vajon félreértette-e Luther Pál apostol leveleit? Vajon a 16. századi reformátorok alaptalanul hivatkoztak-e Pál apostol megigazulásról szóló tanítására és vajon helytelen útra terelték volna teológiájának megértését? Az utóbbi időben ez a kérdés újra és újra felmerül és heves vitákat vált ki a kutatók körében. Nem kell meglepődnünk azon, hogy a modern újszövetségi írásmagyarázat nem minden esetben erősíti meg a reformátorok bibliamagyarázatát. A Pál-kutatásra néző „új szemléletmód” kérdése csupán egyetlen szelet abból feszültségből, amely a biblikus irányultságú dogmatika és a történeti írásmagyarázat között jelentkezik. Ez mindenesetre igen-igen érdekfeszítő szelet, mivel a reformátorok Pál-értelmezésének egyház- és teológiatörténeti jelentősége volt.
