The sermons written for the first Sunday after the epiphany, according to the medieval order of the pericopes, are based on the story of 12-year-old Jesus teaching in the temple (Luke 2:41-52). Therefore, the duties of parents and children are usually presented in these sermons. A following of this pericopal tradition can be found among 16th-century Hungarian publications in the books of the pastors Péter Bornemisza, István Beythe and György Kulcsár, and the priest Miklós Telegdi. Through their sermons, I examine how these authors wrote about the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ child as well as what methods they offered for improving the behaviour and morals of said ‘bad’ child.

This volume contains selected papers from the broader field of History of Christian Doctrines, and more specifically from Patristics and Reformation studies, but also from the border between them. Most of them were written in the academic year 2014-2015, during my MA studies in the field of Patristics at the Theological University of the (vrijgemaakt) Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, in Kampen. The main topic of the MA programme was the Baptism in the Early Church, therefore the most of these papers presents various aspects of this question. In the following few paragraphs I will present short summary of each paper from this volume.

A Református Szemle 1943-ban, a 365. oldalon közli az Igazgatótanács 6750/1943. Körlevelét, amelyet a II. ügyosztály bocsátott ki, aláírója Vásárhelyi János püspök és Almási Samu előadótanácsos volt. A körlevelet, mivelhogy rendkívül fontos a továbbiakra nézve, a maga teljességében közöljük.

A családrekonstitúció módszerét használó mikroregionális történeti kutatás tehát, a 18–19. század időszakára és az állami anyakönyvezés előtti időszak anyakönyvi adathalmazaira összpontosít és teszi alkalmassá a történeti demográfiai vizsgálatra.
