Humanity is constantly evolving, which exerts a powerful impact on religion and the church as well. The postmodern era, which spread from the second half of the 20th century, presents a new direction that the church must respond to. The research examines how the gospel can be effectively conveyed in the postmodern world, with special consideration for the relationship between youth and the church, as well as the resulting challenges and opportunities. Based on my university studies and experiences, my viewpoint is that postmodern thinking essentially questions traditional values and systems. It emphasizes diversity, relativism, and subjectivism. This new approach shapes people's worldviews and influences their everyday decisions. The central premise of the paper is that the church has long functioned as a proponent of absolute truth and universal values.

The idea of moving the theological education from Nagyenyed/Aiud to Kolozsvár/Cluj was born in the middle of the 19th century. Domokos Szász, former reformed priest from Kolozsvár/Cluj, and from 1885 bishop of the Transylvanian Reformed Church, was the most prominent supporter of founding the new centre of theological training in Kolozsvár/Cluj. After long debates and preparations, the construction of the new theological institute was completed in 1895. The current study presents the press debates around this event, offering an insight into press articles published in Kolozsvár/Cluj, concentrating mainly on the Erdélyi Híradó (Transylvanian News) a newspaper supporting the party opposing the moving of the theological training to Kolozsvár/Cluj. These articles throw light on the diverging positions regarding this event.

Legelőször azt kell ennél a kérdésnél megállapítani, hogy az Ige és az igehirdetés nem változhat gyülekezetek, érdekek és viszonyok szerint. Az Ige egy, akárhol és akármilyen helyen prédikálják, mindig ugyanazt mondja s nincs alávetve annak, hogy milyen ismeretkörű, érdeklődésű vagy gondolkozású emberek hallgatják. Az igehirdetés is egy, vagyis nem alkalmazhatja a maga mondanivalóját az emberekhez, azok külső körülményeihez. A kérdés most az: vajjon a gyülekezet milyensége, meghatározottságai, nem határozzák-e meg mégis az igehirdetést? Erre a felelet az, hogy igenis meghatározzák, de nem annak tartalmában, hanem abban a módban, ahogyan az igehirdetés folyik.

Mit mond a Szentírás egy magánosságban élő, nagyobb közösségből kiszakított, rendes gyülekezeti életet nélkülöző, másoktól körülvett vallási közösségről és közösséghez? Mutassuk be először egy történeti képben az ó- és újszövetség szórványait, azután tárjuk fel Isten parancsát azok sorsában, azaz, hogy mit mond Isten a szétszórtságban levőkről és a szétszórtságban levőkhöz; végül pedig foglaljuk össze ezeket a tanításokat rendszeres képben.
