Valentinus and His Teaching in the Light of Modern Research and Ancient Christian Heresiology -- The first part of this paper contains a summary of the life and teachings of Valentinus written by Bernadett Szűcs, in which the author sketches the most important aspects of this complex topic based on the early Christian primary sources harmonized with the state of the modern research. As an appendix to this introduction, the second part of this paper, written by György Papp contains the first Hungarian translation (accompanied by the original Greek text from the recently published critical edition) of one of the primary sources with a short introduction, to the text: the chapter about Valentinus in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus.

Ebben a tanulmányban a bűn közösségi dimenziójának bibliai és keresztyén etikai sajátosságait igyekeztem felvázolni néhány, a téma szempontjából relevánsnak tekinthető bibliai szöveg és terminus vizsgálata által. A közösségi bűn fogalmának meghatározása és kritikája elsősorban német talajon valósult meg a világháborút követő politikai, filozófiai, jogi és teológiai viták során. A fogalom lényegét kifejező koncepció, amely szerint az egyén vagy egy kisebb csoport bűneiért, az egész közösség bűnösnek tekintendő, számos nérói cselekménynek adott szabad utat: diktatúrákhoz, haláltáborokhoz, háborús bűnökhöz, koncepciós perekhez és megtorlásokhoz szolgáltatott legitim ideológiai alapot. Érthető tehát, hogy a kollektív bűn fogalmának 20. századi definíciója mind jogi, mind pedig morális szempontból tarthatatlan, ugyanakkor a fogalom mögött megbúvó egyes gondolatok a Szentírástól sem idegenek.

The idea of moving the theological education from Nagyenyed/Aiud to Kolozsvár/Cluj was born in the middle of the 19th century. Domokos Szász, former reformed priest from Kolozsvár/Cluj, and from 1885 bishop of the Transylvanian Reformed Church, was the most prominent supporter of founding the new centre of theological training in Kolozsvár/Cluj. After long debates and preparations, the construction of the new theological institute was completed in 1895. The current study presents the press debates around this event, offering an insight into press articles published in Kolozsvár/Cluj, concentrating mainly on the Erdélyi Híradó (Transylvanian News) a newspaper supporting the party opposing the moving of the theological training to Kolozsvár/Cluj. These articles throw light on the diverging positions regarding this event.
