I invite the reader to take a journey into the theological world of two little treatises written by one of the most interesting ecclesiastical figures of the fifth century coming from the Antiochene tradition: Theodoret, Bishop of Cyrus.

The purpose of this study is twofold. First, it sets the historical context in which Aphrahat wrote his Demonstrations and deals with the interesting relationship between his writings, ‘against the Jews’ and the Sassanian persecution of Christians. It also treats his refutation of the Jewish charges. Secondly, it addresses his ‘unique’ view of christology which is not in line with the Nicene decision concerning one aspect yet at the same time it is congruent with it. The paper also tries to point out that his view on christology was ‘unique’ but not exceptional in the Early Church.

Scout Movement in Transylvania. This study is a presentation about the history of the scout movement in Transylvania. The Hungarian scout movement in Transylvania started in 1911. After that many Hungarian scout team was founded. After 1914, when Transylvania became a part of Romania the Hungarian scout teams joined the Romanian scout association, which was founded in 1914. Between the two world wars the Romanian scout association was under the direct influence of the state. After 1940, when a part of Transylvania was connected to Hungary again, the Hungarian scout movement in Transylvania has also revived. The scout started many kind of good projects. They became a useful part of the society. The centre of the scout movement by that time was Kolozsvár.

A 'Protestáns Szemle' [...] az egyházi életműködés minden ágát felölelő vagy azzal érintkező tudományok mezején búvárkodik, fejteget vagy vitáz: ezt az alapelvet igyekszik szem előtt tartani és attól – legalább szándékosan s öntudatosan – nem akar eltérni. Azért, egyfelől a maga körében, t. i. a magyar protestáns felekezet körében, az egy alapon álló árnyalatok közt az eszmecserék s tárgyilagos vitatkozásnak szabad tért nyit s az ellennézeteket, csak tudományos érvekkel jőjjenek, meghallgatja, elfogadja, értékük szerint méltányolja. De nem szorítkozva csak a magunk szűk körére, tért nyit a külföldi protestáns egyházi élet s tudományos mozgalmak minden általános érdekű jelenségeinek s azokat részint ismertetőleg, részint vitatólag fogja olvasói elé hozni....
