Előadásom tárgya a filozófia és teológia különállása, illetve az átfedések és átjárási lehetőségek vizsgálata Böhm Károly és Tavaszy Sándor gondolkodásának viszonyában. Vizsgálódásom első részében röviden körvonalazom Böhm Károly szellemi életútját, kiemelve azt, hogy miként alakult a teológiával kapcsolatos álláspontja, és hogy vannak-e életművében teológiai motívumok. Tavaszy gondolkodásának értelmezésében arra keresek választ, hogy a böhmi ismeretelméleti és értékelméleti szemlélettel való konfrontálódása után hogyan alakult szemlélete filozófia és teológia viszonyáról. Mit jelent, és milyen filozófiai és teológiai felelősséget hordoz Tavaszy idealizmuskritikája? Milyen szempontból jelent korrekciót az idealizmussal szemben az egzisztencializmus? Miben ragadható meg Karl Barth dialektikai teológiájának filozófiai tartalma, és hogyan kapcsolódik ez a teológiai gondolatkör a Böhmnél kimutatott motívumokhoz?

Ismeretes Kierkegaard három létmódstádiuma, az esztétikai, az etikai és a vallási, melyek közül a harmadik az akéda értelmezésére épül. Nálunk Tavaszy Sándor és Lukács György körülbelül egy időben kísérli meg Kierkegaard értelmezését. Egyik bölcselő sem találhat alibit a létezés alól, sőt – horribile dictu – az Ábrahám próbatétele alól sem. Hogyan válaszoltak e kihívásra? A kérdést kötelesek vagyunk feltenni – immár önmagunknak. A neomarxista késztetésnek (is) kitett posztmodern korban hogyan válaszol a saját egzisztenciális tájékozódásunk arra, hogy „nincs alibink a létben”?

În această cercetare, voi investiga natura umană. Abordarea acestei teme a fost influențată atât de un motiv direct, cât și de unul indirect. Motivul direct este reprezentat de contextul epidemiologic recent, în timp ce motivul indirect derivă din viața noastră bisericească în general, și mai ales din dimensiunea noastră teologică și liturgică. Am observat că întrebările și preocupările ridicate de mulți dintre noi nu sunt doar subiecte pentru discuții informale, ci necesită o analiză mai detaliată. Când folosesc termenul „noi”, mă refer la membrii laici și clerici ai Bisericii, care și-au exprimat diverse opinii și perspective în diferite contexte. Mai mult decât exprimarea acestor opinii, cred că este crucial să demarăm o investigație teologică specializată asupra naturii umane, ca punct de plecare pentru cercetări și analize ulterioare.

Valentinus and His Teaching in the Light of Modern Research and Ancient Christian Heresiology -- The first part of this paper contains a summary of the life and teachings of Valentinus written by Bernadett Szűcs, in which the author sketches the most important aspects of this complex topic based on the early Christian primary sources harmonized with the state of the modern research. As an appendix to this introduction, the second part of this paper, written by György Papp contains the first Hungarian translation (accompanied by the original Greek text from the recently published critical edition) of one of the primary sources with a short introduction, to the text: the chapter about Valentinus in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus.

The sermons written for the first Sunday after the epiphany, according to the medieval order of the pericopes, are based on the story of 12-year-old Jesus teaching in the temple (Luke 2:41-52). Therefore, the duties of parents and children are usually presented in these sermons. A following of this pericopal tradition can be found among 16th-century Hungarian publications in the books of the pastors Péter Bornemisza, István Beythe and György Kulcsár, and the priest Miklós Telegdi. Through their sermons, I examine how these authors wrote about the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’ child as well as what methods they offered for improving the behaviour and morals of said ‘bad’ child.

This paper presents the doctrine on baptism in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus. From this presentation we learn that Theodoret presents in this work a multi-contextual image of the “all-holy” baptism. The divine origin of the sacrament determined Theodoret to offer it a special place within his theological system. This special place is expressed through the setting of the chapter concerning baptism as well: it is put between the soteriological Christology and the chapters concerning Theodoret’s eschatology, the latter being an introduction to the ethical chapters.

Kálvin János teológiájának és társadalmi elgondolásainak magyarországi recepciója megannyi történeti, jogi és teológiai kérdést vet fel. Méliusz Juhász Péter sokszínű irodalmi hagyatéka azonban világossá teszi, hogy Kálvin teológiai és etikai tanításai alapvető hatást gyakoroltak a 16. században Debrecen város lakosságára. Ám e hatástörténet gyakorlati aspektusainak feltárása mindmáig a kurrens Kálvin-kutatás hiátusa volt. Ennek okán, a jelen tanulmány alapintenciója, hogy bemutassa, vajon a közerkölcsök terén milyen gyakorlati következményei voltak a kora újkori genfi és debreceni prédikátorok egyházi és irodalmi szolgálatának. S bár látható, hogy a korai magyarországi reformátorok nem hivatkoztak közvetlenül Luther és Kálvin írott hagyatékára, mégis pl. a Debrecen Városi Magisztrátus jegyzőkönyveinek vizsgálata jelentősen hozzájárul a keleti országrész reformátorai által hirdetett tanítások eredményességének bemutatásához.

Ez a kifejezés uralkodó jellemvonása a mai filozófiai elmélkedésnek, csaknem jelszóvá sűrűsödött kivánalom és program; Tavaszy Sándor szerint, aki legelsőnek és legodaadóbban tárgyalta nálunk az új irányzatot, azelőtt élményei voltak az embereknek, élményt követelt a magyarázótól a tudományos köztudat, most existenciális szempontot, megértést, döntést, ítéletet.
