The General Synod of 1820 is the subject of my Master's thesis. I believe that the topic and the sources it reveals are indispensable for the research of the Transylvanian Reformed Church history. I will start from the life of the church in the 19th century and move towards the source that I have uncovered. In the excavated source, points appear which are connected with the liturgical history, the history of the order, and the rules and customs of burial. A slice of this will be presented and unpacked in this essay. The information and the improved readability of the record will be useful for all those who wish to enrich their knowledge of church history.

In dieser Arbeit werde ich mit Dtn 32,1–43 bzw. mit der Perikope 32,1–10 beschäftigen, die den Namen „Moselied“ trägt. Die alttestamentliche Tradition hält dieses Kapitel für eine der letzten Reden des Mose, ein Testament des großen Volksführers.

A dolgozat első részében a tájegységről, a falu eredetéről és annak múltjáról beszélek, majd a fennmaradt iratok alapján megpróbálok hiteles képet festeni a falu lakosságáról. Ezt követően rátérek a Székelytompán folyó egyházi élet vizsgálatára, amelyből kiderül, hogy a gyülekezet mikor válik önálló egyházközséggé, és milyen módon, ütemben fejlődik a történelem során. Végül pedig röviden az egyházi iskola fontosabb eseményeit ismertetem.
