The text above is the Regulations of the Reformed College Teachers drawn up in 1786 by the board of the College of Kolozsvár (Cluj). The 1780s heralded the era of educational reform, marked by the Habsburg Empire’s ruler mandating a centralisation of the educational system. In response, the Reformed Church of Transylvania embarked on an extensive overhaul of its collegiate structure and public education. These regulations were distinctive, echoing the spiritual heritage bequeathed by nobility and monarchs. Notably, they were exclusively designed for the youth of noble lineage, which likely led to their limited application.

1791 és 1793 között zajló, Endemann-perként ismert tanfegyelmi kivizsgálás az erdélyi református ortodoxia utolsó kísérlete volt a két évszázadig tartó teológiai irányzat fenntartására. A per történetével mindössze két tanulmány foglalkozott. 1973-ban Juhász István Christian Wolff és az erdélyi református teológia című tanulmányának egyik alfejezetében röviden ismertette a Zilahi Sebes János és Bodola János ellen 1791-ben indított tanfegyelmi eljárást. Juhász István úgy vélte, hogy a Zilahi és Bodola ellen indított kivizsgálás a wolffianus filozófia erdélyi térhódítását próbálta meggátolni. Kutatása nem terjedt ki a református ortodoxia vizsgálatára, de ugyanakkor rámutatott a teológiai felvilágosodás jelentőségére.
