În acest eseu, îmi propun să conturez doctrina referitoare la întruparea lui Isus Hristos așa cum este reflectată în cele mai semnificative crezuri ale creștinismului. Totuși, pentru a înțelege evoluția acestei doctrine, voi începe prin a prezenta câteva imagini din lumea primelor declarații asemănătoare cu crezul care au apărut în perioada post-biblică.

In this research, I have explored the theme of the immortality of the soul in the light of Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul. The work is divided into two major parts: in the first part, I examined Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul and the immortality of the soul, and in the second part, I compared the results of the first part. In the course of this research, I have discovered the similarities and differences in the details of the two conceptions. Eight units of thought were identified for the comparison and within these units, different themes were compared between the two conceptions. In the last point, one of the main questions of the topic was answered, namely whether the soul is immortal or impermanent. Although Plato and Calvin had different points of view, in the end the two concepts were the same: the soul is immortal.

I invite the reader to take a journey into the theological world of two little treatises written by one of the most interesting ecclesiastical figures of the fifth century coming from the Antiochene tradition: Theodoret, Bishop of Cyrus.

The erudition, precision and commitment guiding this study is admirable. Nonetheless, while linguistic analysis may entice the reader with the promise of a higher degree of objectivity, preconceptions regarding the base text, its structuring, the construction of reading, and the interpretation of linguistic data involve a fair amount of subjective and debatable factors that confine Systemic Functional Linguistics within the methods to be tamed by responsible scholarship.

Az Erdőfülei Református Egyházközség lelkipásztora 1909-1947 között Nagy Ferencz lelkipásztor volt. Az egyházközség az ő vezetésével élte túl a két világháborút, és maradt meg magyar reformátusnak. A gyülekezetbe való kinevezése után azonnal nekikezdett a kulturális élet megszervezéséhez. Ifjúsági egyesületet, nőszövetséget, gazdakört, dalkört alapított, vallásos estélyeket szervezett. Iskolaszéki elnökként fenntartotta a magyar felekezeti oktatást az állami nyomás ellenére is. A presbiteri jegyzőkönyvek alapján egy olyan lelkipásztori kép rajzolódik ki Nagy Ferenczről, amely minden mai református lelkipásztornak példaképe lehet.
