‘‘Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion”. Diverse traditions in 1 Peter 5:8–9. The recent reevaluation of the Petrine epistles has significantly influenced the study of the interplay between text and tradition. Scholarly consensus suggests that the First Epistle of Peter is unparalleled in the New Testament for its reliance on tradition. This study explores the implications of this reliance, particularly in relation to 1 Peter 5:8–9. The paper aims to analyse the traditional depiction of the devil in 1 Peter, considering its significance and function within the text’s framework.

The research titled "Protocols of Five Congregations of the Maros Reformed Diocese from 1687: Nyárádselye, Berekeresztúr, Nyárádszentimre, Nyárádszereda, Nyárádszentanna" examines the year 1687 and the Maros Reformed Diocese. The study aims to uncover and analyze the surveys conducted in these mentioned five congregations, which are associated with the specific time period. The research provides a comprehensive overview of the congregations' history, their life within the Reformed Church, and the collected data. Through the analysis and interpretation of primary sources, insights can be gained into the daily lives of the congregations, religious practices, and other characteristics of religious life during this period. The findings of the thesis contribute to the historical and religious research of the Maros Reformed Diocese, helping to understand the characteristics and challenges of the 17th-century Reformed communities in Transylvania.

A feladat nem is olyan egyszerű: az elnevezések keverednek, sokszor még az sem bizonyos, hogy azonos elnevezés az adott szövegekben ugyanazt az állatot jelöli. Így hát nem árt – már az alapoknál – egy kis nyelvészkedés. Már az általános görög név is (ἡ γαλή) jelenthet menyétet és (erdei) nyestet egyaránt.

A dolgozatom célja a 'Sátán' fogalmának, tevékenységének és szerepének értelmezése a Szentírásban.

Órigenész olyan személyisége az egyháztörténelemnek, aki akkor és ott próbált tenni egyházáért, azt próbálta megvédeni a tévtanításoktól. Olyan maradandó hagyatéka van, amely megkerülhetetlen, hiszen számos teológiai nézet és irányzat alapul vette az ő nézeteit és gondolatait. A gnoszticizmus előretörésének korában próbálta megvédeni a teológiát a filozófiai befolyásoltságtól, és arra törekedett, hogy a teológiában valamely tant azért lehessen igaznak tartani, mert maga a Szentírás és nem valamelyik filozófus tanítja azt. Szerencsétlenségére kortársai közül nem akadt vitapartnere, aki az ő szintjére emelkedve vitába szállt volna vele egyes problémák és tanok tisztázásában. A Sátánról és a démonokról szóló tanítása miatt sok bírálat érte. Elsősorban azt próbálták rábizonyítani, hogy magát a Sátánt is üdvözíteni akarja. Jelen dolgozatban ezt a kérdést is megvizsgáljuk.
