This paper is an expanded and somewhat more elaborated version of an earlier study in which I tried to give a general overview on the word-usage concerning the passion of Jesus Christ in the early Christian creeds. The purpose of this short paper is in part to give a comparative presentation of the sufferings of Lord Jesus Christ in the Western Creeds, and in part I also try to define the role of mentioning the name of Pontius Pilatus in them.

A reformkorban Magyarország számos iskolájára jellemző volt az, hogy egy-egy tanév önképzőköri munkáját a diákok felnőttek bevonásával kötetbe tömörítették, és nyomtatott formában közzétették. Ez a fajta olvasóközönség-kialakítási szándék foglalkoztatta a nagyenyedi diákokat is. Dolgozatomban a nagyenyedi Bethlen Gábor Kollégium reformkori önképzőkörének irodalmi termését elemzem. Virágkosár címmel három diák-önképzőköri gyűjtemény jelent meg az 1835, 1836 és 1837-es tanévekben. A kötetek szemléletváltás eredményeként jöhettek létre: megjelenésüket a felvilágosodás korabeli iskolareform, illetve olyan pedagógusok munkássága készítette elő, akik az anyanyelvhasználatot támogatták.

A próféta visszatekint és leltárt készít. Visszatekint a megtett útra, és elégedetten nyugtázza, hogy az Úr mindvégig mellette állt. A „mindeddig” pedig azt jelzi, hogy az útnak nincs vége, a folyamat nem zárult le. Ez itt legfeljebb csak pihenő, meg-/felszusszanás.

Jókai Mór valláshoz való viszonyulása kevéssé kutatott téma. Szinte minden regényében találkozunk különféle vallási utalásokkal, vallásos kifejezésekkel vagy egyszerűen csak a vallásos világképpel és szellemiséggel.

In this short paper I would like to provide a comparative analysis of the passages concerning the passion of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Early Christian confessions (among them the Apostolic Creed1 as well), because these passages are frequently the source of theological misunderstanding and debates. The main question which urged me to do this research had occurred in relation with the Apostolic Creed. How do we say correctly: ‘I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell…’ or ‘I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered, under Pontius Pilate He was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell…’? I shall try to answer this question by analysing the relevant passages of the creeds which were composed in the first six centuries.

Die erste Nummer der Reformierten Rundschau, die als offizielles Blatt von dem Siebenbürgischen Reformierten Kirchenbezirk herausgegeben wurde, war am 10. Januar 1908 erschienen. Die seit 100 Jahren fortlaufend erscheinenede Zeitschrift wollte von Anfang an die Aufgaben einer kirchlichen Presse erfüllen. Sie beschäftigte sich ausführlich mit der Vergangenheit des Kirchenbezirks,mit aktuellen Fragen und formte die kirchliche öffentliche Meinung.Sie diente als Mittel für die Sicherung der intellektuellen Verbindung zwischen jenen,die mit Wort und Schrift im Dienst der Kirche standen und hielt die Fackeln des Glaubens und Wissens aufrecht. Ab 1960 veröffentlichte die Reformierte Rundschau immer mehrere Studien.
