Az összeállítás nem a rovatok szerint történt, hanem tematikusan, a bibliai tudományoktól kezdve, a teológiai diszciplínákon, az egyházi szolgálat területein, a közéleti témákon át, a hírek közléséig halad. Ahol a cím nem utal a tartalomra, vagy ahol kiegészítő magyarázatra, helyesbítésre volt szükség, ott a megjegyzések szögletes zárójelbe találhatók. A 2697 tétel után a Névmutató, a Tárgymutató és a Textuárium segít megtalálni a keresett személyt, témát, bibliai helyet.

I invite the reader to take a journey into the theological world of two little treatises written by one of the most interesting ecclesiastical figures of the fifth century coming from the Antiochene tradition: Theodoret, Bishop of Cyrus.

Als Einleitung benützt der Autor drei Vesperbilder von Michelangelo Bounarrotti, und nach der Analisierung der Pieta des Ursulaner Klosters von Erfurt (1320 és 1330), beschreibt er die Eigentümlichkeiten der Vesperbilder von den 15–16. Jahrhunderten. Mit dem Thema der Pieta in weltlichem und menschlichem Bezug begann man sich betont erst seit dem 19. Jh. zu beschäftigen. In der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jh. erschien dieses Thema als Rückwirkung auf die Unmenschlichkeiten des herrschenden Nationalsozialismus. Diese Rückwirkung zeigte sich nicht nur in der europäischen bildenden Kunst, sondern in allen der Welt.

The purpose of this study is twofold. First, it sets the historical context in which Aphrahat wrote his Demonstrations and deals with the interesting relationship between his writings, ‘against the Jews’ and the Sassanian persecution of Christians. It also treats his refutation of the Jewish charges. Secondly, it addresses his ‘unique’ view of christology which is not in line with the Nicene decision concerning one aspect yet at the same time it is congruent with it. The paper also tries to point out that his view on christology was ‘unique’ but not exceptional in the Early Church.
