Rezumând atitudinea terapeuților față de bunăstare, putem constata că această comunitate a ridicat la un nivel atât de înalt valorile spirituale, încât a ignorat absolut tot ce aparține vieții zilnice obișnuite. Ei s-au străduit la înmulțirea bo-găției înțelepciunii (par. 16–17, 20) și a valorilor spirituale. În rândul acestei co-munități meditațiile asupra Sfintelor Scripturi, a cărților sfinte proprii, precum și asupra înțelepciunii dumnezeiești (par. 1, 28–30, 67) sunt absolut primordiale, din care rezultă retragerea din lume și disprețuirea totală a bogăției pământești.

Weather imagery plays a major role in Hosea. Hosea 2 recalls the image of an unfaithful wife; Hosea 4:2–3 describes the withering of the land; in 6:3; 10:12; 14:6, the several types of precipitation draw attention to the utterance of YHWH or the requested righteousness; in 9:10.13.16; 10:1; 13:5; 14:6.8, Israel is symbolised by different plants that blossom and wither, depending on their relation to Yhwh. In all of these instances, weather phenomena contribute to these images. In this article, I try to catalogue and evaluate the metaphors and concepts to look at how meteorological images convey theological and historical messages, and vice versa how historical events or sociological procedures demonstrate their consequences in nature, especially in the weather. It seems that weather imagery is used to describe the consequences of idolatry, injustice and false politics.

A 'Protestáns Szemle' [...] az egyházi életműködés minden ágát felölelő vagy azzal érintkező tudományok mezején búvárkodik, fejteget vagy vitáz: ezt az alapelvet igyekszik szem előtt tartani és attól – legalább szándékosan s öntudatosan – nem akar eltérni. Azért, egyfelől a maga körében, t. i. a magyar protestáns felekezet körében, az egy alapon álló árnyalatok közt az eszmecserék s tárgyilagos vitatkozásnak szabad tért nyit s az ellennézeteket, csak tudományos érvekkel jőjjenek, meghallgatja, elfogadja, értékük szerint méltányolja. De nem szorítkozva csak a magunk szűk körére, tért nyit a külföldi protestáns egyházi élet s tudományos mozgalmak minden általános érdekű jelenségeinek s azokat részint ismertetőleg, részint vitatólag fogja olvasói elé hozni....
