The work is divided into two major parts: in the first part, I examined Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul and the immortality of the soul, and in the second part, I compared the results of the first part. In the course of this research, I have discovered the similarities and differences in the details of the two conceptions. Eight units of thought were identified for the comparison and within these units, different themes were compared between the two conceptions. In the last point, one of the main questions of the topic was answered, namely whether the soul is immortal or impermanent. Although Plato and Calvin had different points of view, in the end the two concepts were the same: the soul is immortal.

Thesis › Ivanov Annamária › 2020 › Pages: 111 › Supervisor: Buzogány DezsőDolgozatom elkészítése számomra igazi élmény volt és amelynek során igyekeztem minél pontosabb képet nyújtani az olvasóknak az 1806-1807-es évek közötti egyházszervezetről és gyülekezeti életről. Láthatjuk, milyen nehézségekkel küszködtek a gyülekezetek és hogyan találtak megoldást azokra, és azt is láthatjuk milyen igényeik voltak az egyházi szolgákkal szemben. De a jegyzőkönyvek nemcsak a múltba engednek bepillantani, hanem fontos tanulságokat is tartalmaznak mind számunkra, mind a jövő nemzedékei számára. Elsősorban a történeti áttekintést szeretném megemlíteni, melynek jelentősége abban áll, hogy elénk tárul a gyülekezetek kitartása és élni akarása. A sok nehézség és hátráltató tényező ellenére sikerült megmaradniuk, új templomokat építeniük, tettek azért, hogy a jövő nemzedékei számára is hátrahagyjanak valamit. Jó lenne, ha megbecsüléssel tudnánk tekinteni ezekre, hiszen az elődeink nehézségei nélkül ma nem lennék ott, ahol vagyunk.
