In the present paper, we will present the minutes of the visitations of the dean of the Reformed diocese of Maros, written in the second half of 1816, in order to map the situation of the diocese in the first half of the 19th century. Before starting to work through the minutes, we have discussed in a few chapters the history and development of the diocese of Maros, the most important ecclesiastical figures of the time whose reigns influenced the life the Reformed Church in Transylvania, and we have also examined the diocese and the office of the dean in more depth. This was followed by a study of the records of the visitation of the dean. From these documents we learned about the relationship between the parishes. We also found out what disciplinary matters the dean and his associates had to deal with, which affected the leaders of the congregation as well as the members of the congregation.

Az erdélyi (vallásos) ember máig tabuként kezeli azokat a kérdéseket, amelyek szexualitásával kapcsolatosak, még a „szex” alapú szavak kimondásától is borzong, áttetsző titoklepelbe próbálja burkolni annak reményében, hogy utódai is csak akkor kívánnak e sejtelmesség mélyére nézni, amikor elég érettekké válnak hozzá, és akkor is a lehetető legdiszkrétebben. Még rizikósabb lépés az, amikor egy hagyományaiba ágyazódott erdélyi unitárius vagy más felekezetű embert a Biblia és a szexualitás kapcsolatáról kérdezünk. Az átlagember számára a téma kimerül Ádám és Éva „bűnbeesésében”, és még csak fel sem merül bennük, hogy ez a teremtésmítosz a „legkönnyedebb” hangvételű történetek közé tartozik azok közül, amelyeket a Biblia lapjain olvashatunk.

A dolgozat három nagy fejezetből áll. Középpontjában a Román Kommunista Párt és az általa hozott döntések, illetve az akkor működő Református Egyházkerület Igazgatótanácsának határozatai állnak. Az első fejezetekben a kommunizmus hatalomra jutása és az általuk folytatott bel- és külpolitikát mutatom be. A második nagy fejezet a Romániában élő magyar kisebbségeket vizsgálja. Itt kerül előtérbe az egyházakkal kapcsolatos politika is. Az utolsó fejezet az 1972-es igazgatótanácsi jegyzőkönyvet rendszerezi, amely jobb rálátást biztosít arra, hogy milyen dolgok foglalkoztatták akkoriban a magyar református egyházat. A dolgozathoz csatolom az 1972-es jegyzőkönyv digitalizált változatát is.
