‘‘Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion”. Diverse traditions in 1 Peter 5:8–9. The recent reevaluation of the Petrine epistles has significantly influenced the study of the interplay between text and tradition. Scholarly consensus suggests that the First Epistle of Peter is unparalleled in the New Testament for its reliance on tradition. This study explores the implications of this reliance, particularly in relation to 1 Peter 5:8–9. The paper aims to analyse the traditional depiction of the devil in 1 Peter, considering its significance and function within the text’s framework.

The spiritual atmosphere can be pure and impure, life nourishing or stifling. The physical atmosphere can also be pure or polluted, life nourishing or stifling. In this context pure air means the abundance of man’s physical living conditions, the pureness and the absence of harm in the whole ecological system, ensuring man’s living space. It also means the balance, which has to exist between the food- and energy resources of our planet for the daily needs of its 7 billion inhabitants. There is a highly tense struggle going on for clean air, habitable earth in ecological as well as economic aspects. Our thesis: it is significant in which spiritual medium this battle takes place. The mere spiritual medium can contribute towards the solution of the problems, which the more and more polluted physical and economic climate brings about.

Ebben a tanulmányban azokat a pontokat vizsgálom, ahol az emberi életre vonatkozó meglátásaik találkoznak vagy szétválnak ugyan, de adott szakaszon át párhuzamosan haladnak, miközben sejthető, hogy mindkét egyenes ugyanahhoz a szamárvezetőhöz igazodik. Vizsgálódásom nem a szokványos tartalomismertetés vagy pszichológiai rendszerbe való besorolás útját követi, nem is a közös antropológia megírására vállalkozom. Inkább azt szeretném felmutatni, hogy miként olvasható Frankl Böszörményi-Nagy kontextusában.

Jankélévitch embere a megtévesztésig hasonlít a Pascaléhoz: ugyanaz a létbe vetett lény, aki reszketve fülel a végtelen terek iszonyatos csöndjére, aki nem keres magának kívülálló kilátótornyot, ahonnan aztán elégedetten szemlélhetné, mint gróf a birtokát, a világot. Der Misna-Traktat Nazir. II. Teil: Übersetzung und Erklärung der Kapitel IV–IX. Die kommentierte Übersetzung der ersten drei Kapitel des Misna-Traktats Nazir ist in dieser Zeitschrift erschienen (Református Szemle 101, 2008/2, S. 123–134.). Als Fortsetzung dazu bietet der Verfasser in diesem Aufsatz die ungarische Fassung der übrigen sechs Kapitel. Damit ist der Traktat Nazir zum ersten Mal vollständig, und mit beigefügter Kommentierung auf Ungarisch erschienen. Als Grundlage der Übersetzung wurde auch hier die folgende Ausgabe genommen: Mischnajot. Die sechs Ordnungen der Mischna. Hebräischer Text mit Punktation, deutscher Übersetzung und Erklärung. Teil III: Ordnung Naschim, Übersetzt und erklärt von M. Petuchowski und S. Schlesinger, Victor Goldschmidt Verlag, Basel, Dritte Auflage, 1968. Als Kontroll-Text wurde gelegentlich die folgende Übersetzung herangezogen: D. Correns: Die Mischna in deutscher Übersetzung mit einer Einleitung und Anmerkungen, Hannover 2002.

Der Aufsatz skizziert die Geschichte der Institution Nasiräertum von seinen Anfängen durch das Alte und Neue Testament bis zu seinem Verschwinden in der talmudischen Zeit.
