Humanity is constantly evolving, which exerts a powerful impact on religion and the church as well. The postmodern era, which spread from the second half of the 20th century, presents a new direction that the church must respond to. The research examines how the gospel can be effectively conveyed in the postmodern world, with special consideration for the relationship between youth and the church, as well as the resulting challenges and opportunities. Based on my university studies and experiences, my viewpoint is that postmodern thinking essentially questions traditional values and systems. It emphasizes diversity, relativism, and subjectivism. This new approach shapes people's worldviews and influences their everyday decisions. The central premise of the paper is that the church has long functioned as a proponent of absolute truth and universal values.

In this dissertation I would like to present an extract from Philipp Melanchthon's work Catechesis puerilis. I translated part of the work from Latin into Hungarian. The work, Catechesis puerilis, is quite distinct from Martin Luther's well-known Small Catechism. However, their objective is the same: to teach the knowledge of the Christian faith. Philipp Melanchthon begins the catechesis with a grammar lesson for school-age children. I have divided my dissertation into five major units. The first part is about the life of Philipp Melanchthon. I will briefly talk about his childhood, his school years, and then about his personality, his family and his family life. I am interested in what Melanchthon was like as a child, who were the people who helped him, who took him in, so to speak. In the second part I talk about Melanchthon as a teacher. I was curious to know what Melanchthon was like as a teacher.

A kutatásomnak három fő fázisa volt, melyek között az összekötő kapocs az evangélium kommunikálásának koncepciója és a kifejtés lépéseit meghatározó szerkezet. A szerkezetben ugyanazt a mintát igyekeztem követni a három fejezet belső szerkezetében, mint amelyre a kutatás három fejezetének sorrendje is épült. A kutatás három lépéseinek meghatározó jellemvonását a következő három kifejezéssel írhatjuk le a legpontosabban: 1. Háttér, 2. Helyzetkép, 3. Praxis. Ennek értelmében az első fejezet az evangélium kommunikálásának történelmi hátterét vizsgálja, a második fejezet azt a helyzetképet, amelyben a koncepciót alkalmazzuk, a harmadik fejezetben pedig a koncepció gyakorlatba ültetése történik.

A kommunikáció kérdése egyre inkább foglalkoztatja az egyházat is, hiszen olyan helyzetben kell az igehirdetéssel kommunikációs sikert elérni, amikor egyre nagyobb teret hódítanak a tömegkommunikációs eszközök, és sokszor színesebb, szórakoztatóbb adást biztosítanak, mint az istentisztelet. Figyelembe kell venni azt a tényt is, hogy az egyházi nyelvezet, a teológiai szóhasználat egyre idegenebb a mai társadalom számára. Dolgozatomban a kommunikáció kérdéseit taglalom.
