Valentinus and His Teaching in the Light of Modern Research and Ancient Christian Heresiology -- The first part of this paper contains a summary of the life and teachings of Valentinus written by Bernadett Szűcs, in which the author sketches the most important aspects of this complex topic based on the early Christian primary sources harmonized with the state of the modern research. As an appendix to this introduction, the second part of this paper, written by György Papp contains the first Hungarian translation (accompanied by the original Greek text from the recently published critical edition) of one of the primary sources with a short introduction, to the text: the chapter about Valentinus in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus.

This paper presents the doctrine on baptism in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus. From this presentation we learn that Theodoret presents in this work a multi-contextual image of the “all-holy” baptism. The divine origin of the sacrament determined Theodoret to offer it a special place within his theological system. This special place is expressed through the setting of the chapter concerning baptism as well: it is put between the soteriological Christology and the chapters concerning Theodoret’s eschatology, the latter being an introduction to the ethical chapters.

Ez a szótár nem csupán a teológiai tudományokban jártasok és egyházi műveltségűek számára készült, hanem azoknak is segítséget kíván nyújtani, akik bármely tudomány területén kutatnak.

A modern keresztyén zene felekezeti határokat nem ismerve hódítja meg a keresztyén fiatalok szívét, s nyer egyre nagyobb teret nem csupán külföldön, de magyar nyelvterületeken is. Ez sok helyen problémák forrásává vált, vannak gyülekezetek ahol a tradícióhoz, régihez mindenekfölött ragaszkodó lelkipásztor komoly összetűzésbe kerül az ifjúsággal vagy éppen két tűz között találja magát, ifjúság és a minden új ellen lázadó gyülekezet többi része között, ez új stílusú dicsőítés miatt. Minden esetre sok megválaszolandó kérdést vet fel ez a téma és mindaz, amit magával hoz. Aktualitása úgy gondolom egyértelmű, főként azoknak, akik gyülekezetben dolgoznak, és időről időre találkoznak a kérdéssel.

Dolgozatomban az ószövetségi pesaḥ ünnep Misnában, és ezen belül a Pesaḥîm traktátusban való megjelenését vizsgálom. Mint minden hagyomány, a pesaḥ is alkalmazkodott a történelem bizonyos helyzeteihez. Jó példa erre, hogy az újszövetségi tudósításokban ezt az ünnepet már bor fogyasztásával tartják meg, amiről a korai Exod 12-ben még nem olvasunk. A változtatások milyenségére a Misna, és ezen belül a Pesaḥîm traktátus is rámutat. Mivel eddig magyar nyelven nem jelent meg ez a traktátos, ezért itt teszem közzé ennek magyar fordítását is. Ezáltal a magyar olvasó jobban megértheti a Misna bölcseinek a pesaḥ ünnepére vonatkozó tanításait. A fordításban a Mishnah, ed. Romm, Vilna 1913-as kiadás Torat Emet 357 által pontozott szövegét használtam. Önellenőrzés szempontjából dr. Joshua Kulp: Mishnah Yomit angol fordítása megfelelőnek bizonyult. A Misna tanítását egybevetem az ószövetségi-, újszövetségi kanonikus iratok, illetve biblián kívüli szövegek tanításaival.
