În cartea sa Biografie van de dominee, teologul practic olandez Heitink dedica un capitol special dezvoltării oficiului pastoral protestant. El se întreabă când a apărut pastorul protestant așa cum îl cunoaștem astăzi în istoria bisericii. Răspunsul la această întrebare ne duce înapoi în secolul al XVI-lea. În istoria Reformei, acesta este momentul când apare pastorul, însă nu ca preot hirotonit din sânul clerului, ci ca laic. Potrivit doctrinei reformate, membrii comunității lui Dumnezeu ocupă diverse oficii, iar în vârful acestora se află funcția de pastor. Comunitatea alege anumite persoane pentru această funcție după ce a constatat că aceștia au darurile necesare de la Dumnezeu pentru această slujire. Heitink consideră că, într-un timp relativ scurt după implementarea oficiului pastoral, pastorul a devenit un funcționar bisericesc. Această funcție, fie ea laică sau ecleziastică, a crescut în importanță de-a lungul timpului.

Not all pastor's children remain close to the Church, despite the fact that they grew up in a religious environment and had the example and model of Christian living. The theoretical objective of my thesis is to explore pastor's children's motivations for living a pious life. For there can be external and internal motivation. The external motivation is when the pastor's child practices godly living and godly speaking, but not from an internal motivation, not from faith. They are not living a godly lifestyle because they feel they need to and because it is of value to them, but they are just living up to expectations. They behave and speak as expected by their parents, their congregation or their environment. They live godly lives either for external recognition and reward, such as the recognition of the church community or the pride of their parents, or perhaps to earn God's approval.

A hitelesség – mint létforma – az elmúlt évek egyik meghatározó területe a lelkipásztor életének. Az előadás témája a hitelesség kapcsán három irányba kíván vezetni. Ezek a következők: hitelesség az Igéhez, a szervezethez és a lelkésznek önmagához. Az tartalmát illetően előadás inkább egy szakmai életút tapasztalatainak összefoglalása, mint tudományos munka, és lehetőséget kínál saját emberi és hivatásbeli hitelességünk végigggondolására.

This paper was my MA thesis, and its topic is the reception of the teaching of the Church Fathers concerning the baptism in the 1559 edition of John Calvin’s Institutes. In this thesis, I try to unfold some of the factors that determined the way Calvin used the writings of the Church Fathers in formulating his doctrine of baptism. After presenting the patristic quotations related to the ‘theoretical’ theology of baptism, I will present the quotations and references that are related rather to the practice of baptism. Here I analyse the references regarding the doctrine of baptism coming from the Donatists, the problematic of emergency baptism and women’s right to baptize. Finally, I will present the references from Inst IV 16, dealing with infant baptism. In the last chapter of this study, I will try to summarize the conclusions of the research. I hope the reader will have a clearer image on Calvin’s use of the Church Fathers’ theological heritage on baptism in the Institutes.

I invite the reader to take a journey into the theological world of two little treatises written by one of the most interesting ecclesiastical figures of the fifth century coming from the Antiochene tradition: Theodoret, Bishop of Cyrus.

A Magyar Patrisztikai Társaság Elnöksége 2017-ben a Társaság XVII. éves konferenciájának vezértémáját a reformáció 500. évfordulója alkalmából az egyházatyák munkásságának kora újkori hatásában, recepciójában adta meg, a reformáció és az ellenreformáció korára egyaránt vonatkozóan. A témakiírás több szempontból is érdekes és fontos, de a patrisztikus kutatások horizontjáról mindenekelőtt azért, mert felhívja a figyelmet arra a jelentős szerepre, amelyet az   ókeresztény   szerzők   (elsősorban   a   latin   nyelvűek,   mint   Tertullianus,   Jeromos,   vagy Ágoston, de  a  keleti   atyák   is,   mint   például  Baszileiosz,  vagy   Aranyszájú   János)   művei játszottak a reformátorok  műveltségében, teológiájuk, gondolkodásuk  alakulásában,  és  az ennek szélesebb kontextusaként jelen lévő humanista műveltségben és filológiai-könyvkiadói gyakorlatban.

A nemes és nemzetes Csapó-família kecskeméti polgárcsalád volt s ezért kapta valamelyik őse királyi levéllel a "kecskeméti" predikátumot. De Dunántúlról származtak s külső és belső mivoltokban az itteni magyarság jellemvonásait öltözték fel.

Erőss Lajos, a méltatlanul elfeledett dogmatikus és püspök emlékét néhány utcanév őrzi Debrecenben, valamint Püspökladányban, ahol az általános iskola névadója is lett. Erőss Lajos a Debreceni Református Kollégiumban tanult. A lelkipásztori szolgálatban eltöltött évei után ismét visszakerült az alma mater falai közé. A dogmatikatanári katedráról a lehető legnagyobb tudással igyekezett felvértezni diákjait a lelkipásztori szolgálatra. Rövid időn belül pedig a Tiszántúli Református Egyházkerület püspökének választották meg. Hirtelen bekövetkezett halála után ránk maradt befejezetlen életműve lehet oka annak, hogy élete és munkássága feldolgozatlan maradt. Ennek rendszerezése, értékeinek felmutatása pedig az utókorra vár.

A kolozsvári Ev. Ref. Theologiai Fakultás történetét olvasva, alig találunk utalást arra, hogy már megnyitása előtt volt egy tanára, aki kiküldetésben Nagyenyeden tanított, és nem érte meg a kolozsvári intézet tényleges felállítását, amelynek talán igazgatói székét is elnyerhette volna. Berde Sándor ez a mindössze négy esztendeig tanárként szolgáló teológus.

Jelen dolgozat – bár címében csupán Nüsszai Gergely nevét tartalmazza, – egyrészt egy olyan gyűjtemény, mely nem csak a nevesített, hanem mindhárom kappadókiai atya keresztségről szóló tanítását kívánja együttesen elemezni, másrészt e gyűjtőmunka után arra a kérdésre keresi a választ: hogyan, milyen mértékben lehet relevanciája a kappadókiai atyák letűnt korban született tanításának a mai református dogmatika, egyházi gyakorlat fényében.
