Din perspectiva mea, obstacolul care ne împiedică să căutăm din nou ceea ce considerăm a fi corect pentru fiecare dintre noi reprezintă, în realitate, o altă problemă, mai precis, o atitudine greșită față de nedreptățile comise. Această atitudine poate implica negarea, minimalizarea sau amplificarea gravității infracțiunilor, evitarea asumării responsabilităților sau transferul acestora către alții. O astfel de abordare a păcatului este una dintre cele care pot da naștere la situații foarte complexe și descurajatoare în consilierea pastorală (pastorație). În ceea ce privește cercetarea mea, voi concentra atenția asupra conceptului de speranță în contextul apariției acestor situații și voi căuta sursele valide ale acestei speranțe.

Valentinus and His Teaching in the Light of Modern Research and Ancient Christian Heresiology -- The first part of this paper contains a summary of the life and teachings of Valentinus written by Bernadett Szűcs, in which the author sketches the most important aspects of this complex topic based on the early Christian primary sources harmonized with the state of the modern research. As an appendix to this introduction, the second part of this paper, written by György Papp contains the first Hungarian translation (accompanied by the original Greek text from the recently published critical edition) of one of the primary sources with a short introduction, to the text: the chapter about Valentinus in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus.

Weather imagery plays a major role in Hosea. Hosea 2 recalls the image of an unfaithful wife; Hosea 4:2–3 describes the withering of the land; in 6:3; 10:12; 14:6, the several types of precipitation draw attention to the utterance of YHWH or the requested righteousness; in 9:10.13.16; 10:1; 13:5; 14:6.8, Israel is symbolised by different plants that blossom and wither, depending on their relation to Yhwh. In all of these instances, weather phenomena contribute to these images. In this article, I try to catalogue and evaluate the metaphors and concepts to look at how meteorological images convey theological and historical messages, and vice versa how historical events or sociological procedures demonstrate their consequences in nature, especially in the weather. It seems that weather imagery is used to describe the consequences of idolatry, injustice and false politics.

Az Ószövetségben közel 650 helyen találkozunk a "Jeruzsálem" névvel. Ám ezek a referenciák jobbára a Dávid királyságát követő korszakra vonatkoznak, amikor Jeruzsálem politikai és vallási szempontból a királyság központjává válik. De milyen is volt ez a város, mielőtt Dávid fővárossá tette volna? Ez a tanulmány előbb röviden áttekinti azokat a bibliai utalásokat és régészeti eredményeket, amelyek fényt vetnek a monarchia korát megelőző Jeruzsálem életére. A tanulmány második, terjedelmesebb része a honfoglalás előtti Jeruzsálem kánaánita királya, Abdi-heba és az egyiptomi királyi udvar közötti diplomáciai levelezés anyagát dolgozza fel. Az ún. Amarnai levelek néven ismert gyűjtemény részét képező korrespondencia akkád nyelven íródott. Ennek a gyűjteménynek az itt közreadott magyar fordítása elsőrendű forrásanyag Jeruzsálem korai történetének rekonstrukciójához.

Hogyan értelmezték az Újszövetséget a korai keresztyének? Ez alkalommal arról szeretnék röviden beszélni, hogy miképpen értelmezték és vitatták az 1Kor 15 egyik szakaszát a 2. és 4. évszázad között. Az 1Kor 15-ben Pál apostol Jézus Krisztus feltámadásával és a keresztyének végidőkben bekövetkezendő feltámadásával foglalkozik. Előadásomban ennek a fejezetnek a második felére, a 35-55. versekre fogok összpontosítani, amelyben az apostol a keresztyének feltámadásáról ír.

Dolgozatom fő kérdése az, hogy mit ért Hóseás könyve Isten ismeretén. E fő kérdés megválaszolása rendjén, egy nagyobb ívű bevezetésben részletesebben is tárgyalom Hóseás könyvében az istenismeret tematika megjelenését. Pontosan, arra keresem a választ, hogy mit is jelent az, amikor Hóseás így nyilatkozik: „megismered az Urat” (Hós 2,19).
