Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time and the subject of much debate. Much of the debate on climate change is centred on the issue of responsibility. According to Christian theology, God created this world and man, whose duty it is to care for and cultivate the earth. From a theological perspective, man is responsible for the world he has created and his responsibility is to find solutions to the problems in the world. The question of responsibility is not as simple as it may first appear. The problem of global climate change is compounded by ethical problems such as the problem of many hands, the intergenerational problem and moral corruption. These ethical problems require a rethinking of traditional ethical principles, so we need a new understanding of the question of responsibility to get closer to solutions. The aim of this thesis is to shed light on problems and dilemmas that serve to understand the need for a new paradigm shift in ethical thinking.

Valentinus and His Teaching in the Light of Modern Research and Ancient Christian Heresiology -- The first part of this paper contains a summary of the life and teachings of Valentinus written by Bernadett Szűcs, in which the author sketches the most important aspects of this complex topic based on the early Christian primary sources harmonized with the state of the modern research. As an appendix to this introduction, the second part of this paper, written by György Papp contains the first Hungarian translation (accompanied by the original Greek text from the recently published critical edition) of one of the primary sources with a short introduction, to the text: the chapter about Valentinus in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus.

This paper presents the doctrine on baptism in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus. From this presentation we learn that Theodoret presents in this work a multi-contextual image of the “all-holy” baptism. The divine origin of the sacrament determined Theodoret to offer it a special place within his theological system. This special place is expressed through the setting of the chapter concerning baptism as well: it is put between the soteriological Christology and the chapters concerning Theodoret’s eschatology, the latter being an introduction to the ethical chapters.

Az ökológiával kapcsolatos különböző irányzatok széles körben ismertek és képezik a mai tudományok rendkívül kutatott területét. A múlt század második felétől felélénkült érdeklődés az emberi cselekvés környezetromboló hatásai iránt, és elkezdődött egyfajta tudományos kommunikáció bizonyos tudományok között annak érdekében, hogy a folyamatot mérsékeljék. A megváltozott körülmények új vallás megszületését is eredményezte. Az ökológiai válság látható jeleit szemlélve jogosan merülhet fel az emberben a kérdés, hogy az egyén milyen módon képes cselekedni, hogy cselekedetei a helyes ügyet szolgálják, ami a jövő nemzedékeire tekintettel, képes egy élhető bolygót örökül hagyni az utókor számára.

Naponta szembesülünk környezetvédelmi problémákkal. A környezettudatosságra való nevelésre már a huszadik században sem bizonyultak elegendőnek az állami – és a környezetvédelmi szervezetek. Már abban az időszakban is sok területen a világi hatalom az egyház együttműködését kérte a problémák orvosolásának érdekében. 2016 nyarán alkalmam volt részt venni a Lutheránus Világszövetség által szervezett Global Young Reformers konferencián Wittenbergben. A hat kontinensről érkezett több mint 150 „ifjú reformátor” egyetértett azzal az állásfoglalással miszerint az egyház nem tulajdonít elegendő hangsúlyt a hívek környezettudatosságra nevelésére.

A klímaválság már valóság. Isten teremtett világa veszélyben van. Mit tehetünk mi? Mi az oka ennek a helyzetnek? Milyen veszélyek fenyegetnek? Milyen következményekkel kell szembe néznünk? A 21. század embere olyan feladatot kapott, amelyet nem hanyagolhat el. Ez nem más, mint a teremtett világ felé fordulás felelősséggel, összefogással. Az ipari forradalom a civilizáció fejlődését hozta az emberiség számára, ugyanakkor a szennyezés forrásának tekinthetjük. Az elmúlt évszázadban megnőtt az emberiség igénye a kényelemre, a fejlődésre, amely a természeti kincsek kizsákmányolását eredményezte. Dolgozatomban bemutatom a teremtett világ védelmének bibliai parancsait, megkeresem a problémák gyökerét, gondolkodom a megoldások lehetőségén, végül tolmácsolom a keresztény egyházak, valamint az unitárius etika és teológia üzenetét.
