John Chrysostom uses military metaphors from Romans to help believers understand their relationship with God and engage in spiritual warfare. He compares circumcision and baptism to expand their meaning. By likening body parts to weapons, he teaches that individuals choose whether to serve truth or sin. In this analogy, God is the commander, and believers are soldiers fighting sin, stressing obedience and trust. Chrysostom urges obedience to God akin to soldiers obeying their leader, connecting it with faith-based trust. Military imagery encourages active participation in battling sin, emphasising commitment beyond formal duties. Overall, Chrysostom’s metaphors aim to deepen the congregation’s faith through active engagement and obedience.

The research titled "Protocols of Five Congregations of the Maros Reformed Diocese from 1687: Nyárádselye, Berekeresztúr, Nyárádszentimre, Nyárádszereda, Nyárádszentanna" examines the year 1687 and the Maros Reformed Diocese. The study aims to uncover and analyze the surveys conducted in these mentioned five congregations, which are associated with the specific time period. The research provides a comprehensive overview of the congregations' history, their life within the Reformed Church, and the collected data. Through the analysis and interpretation of primary sources, insights can be gained into the daily lives of the congregations, religious practices, and other characteristics of religious life during this period. The findings of the thesis contribute to the historical and religious research of the Maros Reformed Diocese, helping to understand the characteristics and challenges of the 17th-century Reformed communities in Transylvania.

A keresztyén kegyesség gyakorlatának helyes szemlélete és megértése a keresztyén élet nélkülözhetetlen része. Ennek megítélése más és más hangsúllyal, fókusszal jelent meg a keresztyén egyház korszakaiban, amelynek oka nem csupán abban keresendő, hogy az egyházban eltérő kegyességgyakorlatok honosodnak meg a különböző időszakokban. A kegyesség gyakorlata ugyanis minden vonatkozásban narratív és interpretativ funkciót tölt be. Narratív abban a tekintetben, hogy keretet ad a keresztyén ember önértelmezésének. Interpretativ abban a vonatkozásban, hogy nem önmagában áll meg, hanem egyrészt a keresztyén tanítás reflexiójaként jelenik meg, másrészt aktualizálásának mozzanata. A reformátori megszentelődésről szóló tanítás különösképpen is meghatározó a keresztyén kegyesség gyakorlatának kontextualizálásában. A tanulmány a keresztyén egyház egy igen meghatározó időszakára összpontosítva kíséri nyomon a megszentelődésről szóló tanítást.

Ezzel a szerény munkával, a Krisztus-hívők ama csoportja iránt kívánom leróni tiszteletemet és szeretetemet, akik a baptistált Jézus Krisztustól soha — még a küzdelem, szenvedés idejében — sem maradtak, el. Akik az ő „Mesterükért" éhséget, szomjúságot, fogságot, botozást egyaránt elviseltek. Sőt a legborzasztóbb gyötrelem óráiban; a vérpad, lenyakaztatás, vízbefojtás vagy a megégetés kínos perceiben is, bátor bizonyságtevői voltak az Űr Jézus Krisztusnak.

Amerikában az ottani nagy protestáns egyházak, a methodista, baptista, református, lutheránus és anglikán egyházak köréből indult ki.
