Acest scurt studiu aduce în atenție evoluția predării și practicii muzicale în cadrul colegiului unitarian din Cluj în perioada secolelor XVI–XIX. De la interdicția instrumentelor muzicale și a cântatului indecent la permisiunea treptată a practicii muzicale în incinta colegiului și introducerea predării muzicii, evoluția reflectă schimbările sociale și culturale din acele vremuri. Muzica a devenit, în cele din urmă, o parte acceptată și chiar integrată în viața colegiului, marcând o tranziție importantă în percepția și practica muzicală în colegiul unitarian din Cluj și comunitatea unitariană din Transilvania.

Jelen értekezésben az Erdélyi Református Egyházban tartott esperesi (particularis) vizitációkról szólunk. Ennek az intézménynek a fejlődéstörténetét kívánjuk témakörök szerint megrajzolni a 16. század közepétől 1780-ig. 1780 korszakhatárnak tekinthető a vizitáció történetében, ugyanis ez év június 4-én a Désen tartott generális zsinat több évi tárgyalás után részletes vizitációs szabályzatot fogadott el. E rendelkezés eredményeképpen lassan megváltozott, egységesebbé vált az egyes egyházmegyék vizitációs gyakorlata. Ez az egységesítés viszont bizonyos mértékig sablonosodást is jelentett, az egyes traktusok éppen vizitációik különleges vagy specifikus részeit hagyták el. A jegyzőkönyvek jóval áttekinthetőbbek, de már másfajta szemléletmódot tükröznek.

Theis paper analyses the concept of “imago Dei” based on the 6th answer of the Heidelberg Catechism. I chose this topic as it is one of the most controversial questions of systematic theology. If one browses through the dogmatic and ethical works written from the earliest period of Christianity to the most recent times, they will find a large variety of answers. All of these attempt to explain what the writer of Genesis meant by the expression na‘aśęh ’ ādām beṣalmenu kidemutenu. The Heidelberg Catechism deals with this topic in the 6th answer where the authors attested that God did not create the first human being godless and malicious. After stating that as a matter of fact, God created man according to his own image and likeness, the Catechism explains the term imago Dei in a twofold way: first, it seeks to define the inner content of the image and similitude of God, and secondly it expands upon the purpose of man given by God as the image of his creator within the creation.

This volume contains selected papers from the broader field of History of Christian Doctrines, and more specifically from Patristics and Reformation studies, but also from the border between them. Most of them were written in the academic year 2014-2015, during my MA studies in the field of Patristics at the Theological University of the (vrijgemaakt) Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, in Kampen. The main topic of the MA programme was the Baptism in the Early Church, therefore the most of these papers presents various aspects of this question. In the following few paragraphs I will present short summary of each paper from this volume.

A tanulmány célja bemutatni az 1Móz 1,26-ban olvasható kijenetés (teremtsünk embert a mi képünkre és hasonlatosságunkra) héber és görög szövege közötti kapcsolatot.

A magyar peregrinusok 17. századi héber nyelvű köszöntőversei feldolgozására vállalkozó kutatás részeként most három verset ismertetünk részletesen. Martonfalvi György, későbbi nagyváradi majd debreceni professzor és két tanítványának a hollandiai Franekerben írt carmina gratulatoriáját elemezzük, amelyek révén betekintést nyerhetünk a korabeli egyetemjárás közegébe, a szerzők és címzettek viszonyára, a héber nyelv magyarországi és hollandiai ismeretébe és oktatásába, a szerzők héber nyelvi és költészeti készségeibe. A versek most először kerülnek a nagyközönség elé 17. századi keletkezésük óta.

A nemrég egyházkerületi tulajdonba visszakerült iratok között található Zilahi Sebes János és Bodola János maguk mentségére írt levele. Jelen forrásközlésünkben Zilahi Sebes János levelét adjuk közre. Hosszú, 26 oldal terjedelmű levélben védte meg Endemann könyvét, közvetve pedig magát is, és mutatott rá a vád megalapozatlanságára. Levele számos érdekességet tartalmaz. Amint az üggyel kapcsolatos iratokból és Zilahi leveléből is kiderül, az ügy kirobbanását Endemann Sámuel rendszeres teológiai tankönyve okozta.
