The aim of this thesis is to examine the extent to which the elusive postmodern zeitgeist influences ordinary people's faith in God, their relationship to the church, and the congregational demands of the Christian church. It also seeks to answer how far the teachings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the influential theologian who was martyred during World War II, can respond to these congregational needs. The topicality of the paper lies in its aim to provide a systematic theological framework for Reformed congregational pastors and members, with the aim of providing them with a theoretical basis for confronting postmodern problems. One such problem may be the scepticism and relativism that is characteristic of postmodernism and that is present in the life of the average church member today. A further challenge for the church may be the change in postmodern language and the isolation of individuals from one another.

Már megszokottá vált, hogy a tudományos világ folyamatosan ésszerű magyarázatot igyekszik keresni a Bibliában leírt csodákra. Szinte évente felröppen egy-egy hír a médiában, hogy tudományos magyarázatot találtak, valamelyik Bibliában leírt eseményre. Ilyenkor mindig felmerül a kérdés, vajon miért olyan fontos az emberiségnek, megcáfolni a Biblia hitelességét? A magiszteri dolgozat megírása rendjén megoldást keresek a következő kérdésre: hogyan értelmezhetőek Lukács evangéliumában a Jézus csodáiról szóló elbeszélések? Kutatásom ezen célkitűzésével tehát a Jézusról szóló csodaelbeszélések megértését igyekszem megvizsgálni, rámutatva ezáltal arra, hogy Jézus Krisztus csodái nem véletlenszerűen történtek, hanem mögötte a Mindenható Isten áll, és így Jézus cselekedeteiben felismerhető Isten cselekedete.

Ennek a munkának a célja az, hogy a tartalom mellett megtaláljuk, felfedezzük az ige formáját is. Igehirdetőkként sokszor beleeshetünk, beleesünk abba a hibába, hogy csak a tartalomra figyelünk. Arra, hogy hogyan kell azt átadnunk, már nem figyelünk. Sok lelkipásztor érzi, tudja azt, hogy nem prédikálnak másról, csak Isten igéjéről. Nem is tudnának másról prédikálni, Isten igéjét nem lehetne sem verssel, sem más irodalmi művel helyettesíteni. A tartalomhoz való ragaszkodásuk példaértékű és dicséretre méltó. De vajon mennyire figyelnek oda a formára?
