The Possibilities of Spritual Care by Means of Story-telling in the Early Childhood. The first part of the essay describes the development of little children, with special attention to their spiritual growth, then we study the possibilities of pastoral counselling by storytelling (understood as a collective action), and the effect of the stories on the children’s thinking.

Psalm-singing in the Community of Therapeutae Based on De vita contemplativa by Philo of Alexandria. The Therapeutae’s ascetic devotion is characterized not only by searching the scriptures, meditation and prayer but also by singing of hymns and psalms. Hymns were composed by the principals of the community, they were those who taught the community members to sing them and they continually enriched the hymnal with new ones. The Essenes’ and Therapeutae’s psalm-singing indicates first of all the common Old Testament origin.

Was ist gemeinsam in der Liturgie und in dem Fußball? Die liturgische Wegsuche ist seit Jahrzehnten die Eigenheit der ungarischen Reformierten. Die Kirche zentral und oft die Pastoren individuell versuchen an der bestehenden Lage einiges zu ändern. Hingegen ist die rechte Lösung weder eine radikale Reform der derzeitigen Liturgie noch die Möglichkeit der freien Wahl einer Variation der vorgeschriebenen Liturgie, sondern das Verstehen des Gottesdienstes und das Aneignen der liturgischen Spiritualität.

Theodoret of Cyrus: Haereticarum Fabularum Compendium – On Simon Magus. Here we publish a passage concerning Simon Magus from the Haereticarum Fabularum Compendium by Theodoret of Cyrus. The person of Simon Magus fades within the obscurity of legends. The published sources concerning him may be divided in three groups: the New Testament (Acts 8,5–25), the writings of the Church Fathers and the legends which arose concerning his person. All the Church Fathers present him as arch-heretic.

The Passion of Christ in the Early Christian Creeds. In this short paper I present a pending question of the Christological passage of the Apostolic Confession. According to the teaching of the Bible, the passion of the Lord could not be summarized in this sentence: “he suffered under Pontius Pilate”, because the Lord has not suffered only under Pontius Pilate, but in his whole life, as we read it in the Epistle of Paul to the Philippians: “but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men” (Phil 2,7).

Die erste Nummer der Reformierten Rundschau, die als offizielles Blatt von dem Siebenbürgischen Reformierten Kirchenbezirk herausgegeben wurde, war am 10. Januar 1908 erschienen. Die seit 100 Jahren fortlaufend erscheinenede Zeitschrift wollte von Anfang an die Aufgaben einer kirchlichen Presse erfüllen.

Die Rezeption der neuen ungarischen Bibelübersetzung in Siebenbürgen. Diese Studie wurde als Vortrag in Budapest am 8. November 2005 gehalten im Rahmen einer feierlichen Konferenz des Ungarischen Bibelvereins mit Thema: Die 30 jährige neue ungarische Bibelüberzetzung und die 15 jährige revidierte neue Überzetzung. Der erste Teil der Studie führt uns in die Problematik der Rezeption der übersetzten Bibeltexte allgemein ein, und der zweite Teil stellt die Rezeption der neuen ungarischen Bibelüberzetzung in Siebenbürgen, auch auf dem Grund einer Meinungsbefragung zwischen Pfarrern dar.

Der Stele Jahves. Sammlungen von Fremdvölkersprüchen in den prophetischen Schriften des Alten Testaments. In der heutigen Prophetenforschung wurde die Frage nach der Entstehung der Prophetenbücher zentralgestellt. Vornehmliche Andacht haben dabei die kleineren Kollektionen dieser Bücher gewonnen. Die vorliegende Studie ist den theologischen und literarischen Aspekten der Sammlungen von Fremdvölkersprüchen in den Büchern der Propheten Amos, Jesaja, Jeremia, Ezechiel und Zephaniah gewidmet.

The Interpretation of The Epistle to the Colossians 1,1–11. These verses form the introduction to the Epistle containing the heading, the address, the greeting (vs. 1–2.), the thanksgiving (vs. 3–8), and the prayer of intercession (vs. 9–11.). The present essay belonging to the genre of Bible interpretation is going to be the first part of a commentary on this book. The reason for my having started elaborating it is that in the last thirty years no scientific interpretation on the book was published in Hungarian.
