In this dissertation I would like to present an extract from Philipp Melanchthon's work Catechesis puerilis. I translated part of the work from Latin into Hungarian. The work, Catechesis puerilis, is quite distinct from Martin Luther's well-known Small Catechism. However, their objective is the same: to teach the knowledge of the Christian faith. Philipp Melanchthon begins the catechesis with a grammar lesson for school-age children. I have divided my dissertation into five major units. The first part is about the life of Philipp Melanchthon. I will briefly talk about his childhood, his school years, and then about his personality, his family and his family life. I am interested in what Melanchthon was like as a child, who were the people who helped him, who took him in, so to speak. In the second part I talk about Melanchthon as a teacher. I was curious to know what Melanchthon was like as a teacher.

Not all pastor's children remain close to the Church, despite the fact that they grew up in a religious environment and had the example and model of Christian living. The theoretical objective of my thesis is to explore pastor's children's motivations for living a pious life. For there can be external and internal motivation. The external motivation is when the pastor's child practices godly living and godly speaking, but not from an internal motivation, not from faith. They are not living a godly lifestyle because they feel they need to and because it is of value to them, but they are just living up to expectations. They behave and speak as expected by their parents, their congregation or their environment. They live godly lives either for external recognition and reward, such as the recognition of the church community or the pride of their parents, or perhaps to earn God's approval.

E dolgozat során kizárólag azokkal a bibliai versekkel foglalkozunk, ahol a kerub kifejezés megjelenik. A kerub-ábrázolások rengetegében megpróbálok egy rendszerező tárgyalást nyújtani a Biblia olvasója számára.

Mesteri dolgozatom témája az ekkléziogén neurózis. A kifejezés a vallásosság torzult formáira utal, olyan negatív viselkedés- vagy gondolkodásmódra, amelynek hátterében a vallást vélik felfedezni.

Dolgozatom két nagy egységből áll. Az első fejezet általánosan mutatja be a népi vallásosságot és néphitet. A második fejezet szerkezetileg is az elsőre épül; az általánosan bemutatott témákat itt Györgyfalva vonatkozásában mutatom be. Ennek a fejezetnek alapját a falubeli adatközlőkkel készített interjúk képezik, melyeknek teljes szövege a Függelékben található. Az elbeszélések alapján sikerült a liturgiai elemek és népi vallásosság kölcsönhatását megvilágítani, ugyanakkor dolgozatom értékmentő jelleget is kapott. A beszámolók, mesélések alapján olyan elveszőben, kihalóban levő értékeket sikerült rögzítenem, melyek nem csak nekünk, hanem az utánunk következő korok számára is igen hasznosak lehetnek, és melyekből a XXI. századi embernek tanulnia kellene életmódot, felfogást, hitéletet, közösségi életet.
