A Spiritualitás és misszió az egyházban nevet viselő lelkészi továbbképzés és szakmai műhely 2023. március 2-án tartotta meg A lelki éhség 7.0 című konferenciáját a budapesti Ráday Házban. Ennek témája a lelkészek hivatásgondozásának problémája volt. Simone Weil élete nem más, mint egy misztikus aszkéta tanúságtétele. Mintha az életének célja lett volna az, hogy a szenvedők iránti együttérzés miatt ő maga is szenvedjen. Nem véletlen, hogy filozófiája, hite szerint a legmélyebb szenvedésben, a szerencsétlenségben tapasztaljuk meg igazán Isten szeretetét. Egyedi módon mutat rá arra, hogy a szerencsétlenség által nagyon sok ember részesül Krisztus keresztjében – így pedig Isten szeretetében.

My interest in the topic of suffering has been stimulated essentially by the experiences from the pastoral visits and pastoral encounters in a Transylvanian congregation where I work as a pastor. The interchange with the believers and their hardship lead me to conclude that many homes along the streets there are houses of suffering, many life-stories are stories of suffering. Often the suffering encountered at the heart of the believers’ home is something what makes them to “live as if they will never die and die as if they had never lived”. Nevertheless, accompanying the believers in their search for meaning and comfort I realized that they continue to believe in God despite suffering, impoverishment and oppression. But what I often experience is a struggle with ethical shortcuts in the midst of suffering.

The Disputation of Pécs (Pécsi Disputa) by György Válaszúti is a unique segment of 16th-century antitrinitarian literature. Since pécs was occupied by the Ottoman empire, Christians had to live by strict rules. They had to live outside the city walls, and they could only use one church. The dispute is a chronicle of a religious debate between the reformed citizens of tolna and the antitrinitarian citizens of Pécs.

In this study, I examine the works of ars praedicandi as used by the Unitarians. The paper focuses on the Unitarian use of the works of Bartholomaeus Keckermann, who attributed an important role to the exordium. The paper further registers an 18th-century Unitarian reader of Keckermann’s rhetoric, found in a composite volume in the Library of the Cluj-Napoca Branch of the Romanian Academy. This work’s earlier impact can also be studied in a Unitarian manuscript revision created as early as in 1653. There is another Unitarian work (Ms. U. 262) on sermon making from this period, a part of which contains examples of exordiums, that is, introductory parts of sermons. Based on all this, I argue that the exordiums were handled much more leniently by the Unitarians than by other Reformed denominations, and that from the late Renaissance to the 18th century, Unitarians were practitioners of a rather traditional type of preaching.

In this short paper I would like to provide a comparative analysis of the passages concerning the passion of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Early Christian confessions (among them the Apostolic Creed1 as well), because these passages are frequently the source of theological misunderstanding and debates. The main question which urged me to do this research had occurred in relation with the Apostolic Creed. How do we say correctly: ‘I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell…’ or ‘I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered, under Pontius Pilate He was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell…’? I shall try to answer this question by analysing the relevant passages of the creeds which were composed in the first six centuries.

Dolgozatom fő célja az, hogy feltárjam Simone Weil tanítását a szenvedés misztériumáról. Ahhoz, hogy ezt megértsük, szükséges több pontban vizsgálni a szenvedés kérdését. Ezért a dolgozat első részében Simone Weil életét kutatva fedezhetjük fel az ő kapcsolatát a szenvedéssel. Az itt feltárt megfigyelések után áttérünk az elméleti részhez, amely megalapozza Simone Weil életét és azon belül a szenvedéshez való viszonyulását. A dolgozat második részében a dekreáció fogalmát kell megértenünk, amely Simone Weil tanításának az alapja. Ennek megértése elengedhetetlen ahhoz. A dekreáció után következik a dolgozatom utolsó és legfontosabb része, ami a szenvedésről és a szerencsétlenségről szól. Ebben a fejezetben nagyon részletesen feltárulnak a szenvedéssel és a szerencsétlenséggel kapcsolatos részletkérdések. Ezeket ismertetve célom az, hogy választ adjak a szenvedéssel kapcsolatos nehéz kérdésekre.

Ez a dolgozat rövid áttekintést kíván nyújtani a karizmatikus mozgalom négy, gyakran emlegetett tanításáról: a Szentlélek- keresztségről, a gyógyítás, a prófétálás és a nyelveken szólás ajándékairól. Nem csak tanításuk ismertetésével, hanem az ezekkel járó veszélyekkel, illetve a Biblia tükrében való megvizsgálásukkal is foglalkozunk.
