The research titled "Protocols of Five Congregations of the Maros Reformed Diocese from 1687: Nyárádselye, Berekeresztúr, Nyárádszentimre, Nyárádszereda, Nyárádszentanna" examines the year 1687 and the Maros Reformed Diocese. The study aims to uncover and analyze the surveys conducted in these mentioned five congregations, which are associated with the specific time period. The research provides a comprehensive overview of the congregations' history, their life within the Reformed Church, and the collected data. Through the analysis and interpretation of primary sources, insights can be gained into the daily lives of the congregations, religious practices, and other characteristics of religious life during this period. The findings of the thesis contribute to the historical and religious research of the Maros Reformed Diocese, helping to understand the characteristics and challenges of the 17th-century Reformed communities in Transylvania.

My dissertation presents the life of György Verestói, bishop of the Reformed Church in Transylvania between 1760 and 1765. His life is a representative example of a successful clerical career of his time. The dissertation contains the translation of Verestói’s autobiography from Latin to Hungarian. This autobiographic document dates to the last year of his service (late 1764 or early 1765) and presents the cardinal dates and events of his life. Furthermore, I investigate the activity of György Verestói as a bishop. On one hand, I aimed to reconstruct what kind of duties and authority a bishop had in the middle of the 18th century in Transylvania. On the other hand, I wished to evaluate how Verestói fulfilled this office. The main sources for my investigation are archival documents: synodal protocols, the official correspondence between the bishop and the Főkonzisztórium (the leading organization of the church) and personal letters.

Dolgozatomban Verestói György életét és püspöki tevékenységét vizsgálom. Célom feltérképezni, hogy Verestói György önéletírásában hogyan foglalja össze életét, valamint a szűk öt évet felölelő püspöki tevékenysége során (1760–1765) milyen szerepet töltött be az egyház vezetésében. Munkám elsősorban forrásfeltáró és -rendező jellegű, mivel eddig ki nem adott és fel nem dolgozott levéltári adatokra (jegyzőkönyvek, levelezések) épül. Ezek közül kiemelkedő Verestói György latin nyelvű önéletírásának fordítása, amelyet teljes terjedelemben közlök a dolgozatban. Noha Török István már lefordította az említett kéziratot, a szöveget több szempontból (nyelvezet, szöveghűség, pontosság) is indokolt volt újrafordítani, illetve a szélesebb közönség számára is elérhetővé tenni. A dolgozat továbbá részletesen foglalkozik a püspöki tisztség kérdésével.

Licenciátusi dolgozatom 1864-től 1912-ig, csaknem az első világháborúig szolgáltat jegyzőkönyvi adatokat az egyházközségről, magiszteri dolgozatomat pedig ennek a közvetlen folytatását képezi, mégpedig 1912-től 1922-ig. A bánffyhunyadi egyházközség történetének felkutatása és annak részletesebb megvizsgálása által bepillantást nyerhetünk az egyházközség múltjába, egykori életébe, annak alakulásába és fejlődésébe. Az ismertetésre kerülő adatok, információk az egyháztörténet kutatói számára is segítséget nyújthatnak a kor eseményeinek jobb megismeréséhez.
