The research titled "Protocols of Five Congregations of the Maros Reformed Diocese from 1687: Nyárádselye, Berekeresztúr, Nyárádszentimre, Nyárádszereda, Nyárádszentanna" examines the year 1687 and the Maros Reformed Diocese. The study aims to uncover and analyze the surveys conducted in these mentioned five congregations, which are associated with the specific time period. The research provides a comprehensive overview of the congregations' history, their life within the Reformed Church, and the collected data. Through the analysis and interpretation of primary sources, insights can be gained into the daily lives of the congregations, religious practices, and other characteristics of religious life during this period. The findings of the thesis contribute to the historical and religious research of the Maros Reformed Diocese, helping to understand the characteristics and challenges of the 17th-century Reformed communities in Transylvania.

After the First World War, the Hungarians in Transylvania were faced with a new situation. However, in spite of the initial difficulties and challenges, the change of the external empire and the change of the internal empire became inevitable. The passivity of the early years was gradually replaced in the 1920s by active politicking, self-determination and path- finding. The churches, and in Transylvania in particular the Transylvanian Reformed Church and its leading leaders and thinkers, played a significant role in this search for a new way forward. As Dezső László put it, “In the nation we find the fullest and most organic unity of quantity and quality, of matter and soul, of state and church”.

Dolgozatom tárgya a Marosi Református Egyházmegye vizitációs jegyzőkönyvei az 1816-os év első felében. A Marosi egyházmegye szüleimnek több mint 20 éve szolgálati helye, de mindkét nagyapám is itt szolgált több évtizeden át lelkipásztorként. Én itt születtem, nevelkedtem, és elmondhatom, hogy már korai gyermekéveimtől kezdve betekintést nyertem, ismerkedtem mindazzal, ami az egyházi élet jelenét jelenti. Bevezető tanulmányt, történelmi háttér ismertetését, az esperesi tisztség – hatáskör és a vizitációs jegyzőkönyvek feldolgozását tartalmazza a dolgozat. Ezeknek a jegyzőkönyveknek tanulmányozása során átfogó képet nyertem a nevezett egyházmegye egészének életéről a 19. század legelejéről, valamint a megyéhez tartozó egyházközségek hitéletéről és a különböző területeken felmerülő problémáiról. Mindezen információk birtokában – és korom egyházi életének ismeretében, párhuzamot tudtam vonni, esetenként az akkori egyházi élet javára.

Ebben a szakdolgozatban napjaink társadalmának egy érdekes, vallásos szempontból is aktuális jelenségét vizsgálom. A szociológiában élménytársadalomként ismert jelenséget fogom ismertetni, és a vallásszociológia területére érvényes vonatkozásait bemutatni. Emellett egyházi reakciókat mutatok be erre a jelenségre.

A pontos és részletes jegyzőkönyveknek köszönhetően megismerhetjük a Székelykocsárdi Református Egyházközség háború utáni helyzetét.
