The anthropological challenges and perspectives. of the missionary image of man, in particular on the pastoral vocation. In this study, we scrutinize whether the revolutionary changes in mission theology suggested by David Bosch three decades ago have indeed taken root in the distinct context of Transylvania, through a blend of theological and philosophical discourse. Simultaneously, we endeavor to make sense of the rapid transformation occurring globally and within our own borders, interpreting it through contemporary anthropological theory and aligning it with missiological insights. The paper will also dissect the systematic theological implications of developing a Reformed theological anthropology, and then consider the pastoral ramifications and vocational prospects for fostering a more biblically accurate portrayal of man.

This study attempts to identify, clarify and evaluate the changing concept of missions in the Hungarian Reformed Church in Transylvania with special reference to the modality/sodality models during the years 1895-1950.

Valentinus and His Teaching in the Light of Modern Research and Ancient Christian Heresiology -- The first part of this paper contains a summary of the life and teachings of Valentinus written by Bernadett Szűcs, in which the author sketches the most important aspects of this complex topic based on the early Christian primary sources harmonized with the state of the modern research. As an appendix to this introduction, the second part of this paper, written by György Papp contains the first Hungarian translation (accompanied by the original Greek text from the recently published critical edition) of one of the primary sources with a short introduction, to the text: the chapter about Valentinus in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus.

Az alábbi repertórium rövid, de számunkra meghatározó időszakot ölel fel. Köszönhetően az időközben kiépülő intézeteknek, jó kezdeményezéseknek, lelkes fiatal kutatók és restaurátorok munkájának, ma tisztábban látunk, mint három évtizeddel korábban. Nyitva áll a folytatás lehetősége, és ennek eredményeként az első fél évszázadban épített, majd újra felfedezett hangszerörökségünk további növekedése várható.

This paper presents the doctrine on baptism in the Haereticarum fabularum compendium of Theodoret of Cyrus. From this presentation we learn that Theodoret presents in this work a multi-contextual image of the “all-holy” baptism. The divine origin of the sacrament determined Theodoret to offer it a special place within his theological system. This special place is expressed through the setting of the chapter concerning baptism as well: it is put between the soteriological Christology and the chapters concerning Theodoret’s eschatology, the latter being an introduction to the ethical chapters.

A COVID-19 világjárvány jelentős változást okozott az egyházak és helyi gyülekezeteik életében. A magyar nyelvű egyházak tapasztalatai is a nemzetközi trendekbe illeszkednek. A missziói ekkléziológiában jelenleg folyamatban lévő paradigmaváltozás komplexebbé vált. A pandémia felerősített néhány, már korábban indult változást, ugyanakkor új jelenségeket is kiváltott. Jelen tanulmány ezeket a változásokat ismerteti, és azzal a céllal tesz javaslatot egyházaink megerősítésének módjára, hogy azok a jelen helyzetben is hatásokat legyenek a küldetésük betöltésében.

A misszió kérdésében a legújabb időkben olyan alapvető változások történtek, melyek a misszió egész felfogását befolyásolják. Kiemelkedik a missziói munka azon alapgondolata, hogy a missziói feladat nem a keresztyén európai kultúra átadása a pogány népeknek, nem is a keresztyénségnek, mint meglevő rendszernek velük való megismertetése, hanem Isten Igéjének hirdetése. Mint az egyház munkájában mindenütt, úgy itt is előtérbe lép az a gondolat, hogy az egyház egyetlen feladata, hogy hirdesse az Igét, mely reá bizatott. Ez tulajdonképen nem más, mint az egyház ráeszmélése a saját feladatára s mint Isten Igéjéhez való visszatérés az igehirdetés, nevelés, pásztoráció és misszió munkájában. Mind jobban látja a keresztyén egyház, hogy a missziói parancs nemcsak egyetemesen kötelező, mely alól nem lehet kibújni, de hogy ez a kötelezés az Ige hirdetéséről szól, melyet nem szabad semmi egyébbel, emberi gondolatokkal, feladatokkal vagy intézményekkel azonosítani vagy felcserélni.

Ravasz László nem érdeklődött a természettudományok iránt. Legalábbis fennmaradt, gazdag életművéből ez derül ki, de nem olvastam sehol olyat a róla szóló és mindmáig hézagos tudományos értékű szakirodalomban, ami ennek az ellenkezőjét bizonyítaná. Ugyanis számára a tudományos érdeklődés a filozófia–teológia–irodalom köreiben bontakozott ki. Az azonban bizonyos, hogy nem volt természettudomány-ellenes. Azokhoz a témákhoz, amelyekben manapság a természettudományok és a teológia bizonyos képviselőin keresztül sokszor igen heves vitát folytat, higgadtan viszonyult. Tiszteletben tartotta a tudomány eredményeit, őszinte rácsodálkozással szemlélve azokat a tudományos-technikai felismeréseket, vívmányokat és megvalósításokat, amelyek a 20. században bontakoztak ki.
