In congregational life, pastors often face situations where conflict creates a deep divide between members of the community. This paper explores how a deeper understanding and resolution of such situations can be facilitated by tools drawn from systematic theology, attachment theory, contextual pastoral care, and the methodology of motivational interviewing. The theological foundations—especially the doctrines of the incarnation, atonement, and the relational model of the Trinity—reveal how the realities of sin and redemption shape human relational dynamics. Attachment theory helps uncover how childhood attachment patterns influence adult conflict resolution responses. Within the framework of contextual pastoral care, the tension between constructive and destructive entitlement, as well as the dynamics of forgiveness and exoneration, prove essential for identifying underlying, often unconscious relational burdens.

A gyülekezeti életben a lelkipásztor gyakran kerül szembe olyan helyzetekkel, amikor a konfliktus szakadékot húz a közösség tagjai között. E dolgozat arra keresi a választ, hogyan segíthetik e helyzetek mélyebb megértését és kezelését a rendszeres teológia, a kötődéselmélet, a kontextuális lelkigondozás és a motivációs interjú módszertana. A rendszeres teológiai alapvetés, különösen az inkarnáció, a kiengesztelés és a Szentháromság kapcsolati mintája, azt mutatja meg, hogy a bűn és a megváltás valósága miként befolyásolja az ember közösségi viszonyulását. A kötődéselmélet vizsgálata feltárja, hogy a gyermekkori kötődési minták miként befolyásolják a felnőttkori konfliktuskezelési reakciókat. A kontextuális lelkigondozás elméletének keretében a konstruktív és destruktív jogosultság, valamint a megbocsátás és exoneráció közti feszültség különös jelentőséget nyert a kapcsolatokat rejtetten terhelő, sokszor tudattalanul működő dinamikák feltárásában.

The thesis highlights the complex role of the masses in the New Testament. The synoptic tradition, namely Matthew, Mark, and Luke, depict the masses differently. Matthew is more sympathetic, while Luke maintains distance, portraying Jesus as a friend to the poor and oppressed. The analysis of three Greek words, all translated as 'masses' in English: 'πολλοί', 'λαός', and 'ὄχλος', is particularly important. 'πολλοί' is a general term for any large group, not just people. Luke uses it most frequently, while Matthew does not use it at all, indicating that for Matthew, people mean more than just numbers. 'λαός' in the Septuagint usually refers to the nation of Israel. Matthew, with a Hebrew mindset, uses 'λαός' in this sense, and does not equate it with 'ὄχλος', which means an anonymous crowd. The author points out that Matthew carefully chose his words, and this difference is especially important in Matthew 27,25, where the people take responsibility for Jesus' blood.
