In this research, I have explored the theme of the immortality of the soul in the light of Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul. The work is divided into two major parts: in the first part, I examined Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul and the immortality of the soul, and in the second part, I compared the results of the first part. In the course of this research, I have discovered the similarities and differences in the details of the two conceptions. Eight units of thought were identified for the comparison and within these units, different themes were compared between the two conceptions. In the last point, one of the main questions of the topic was answered, namely whether the soul is immortal or impermanent. Although Plato and Calvin had different points of view, in the end the two concepts were the same: the soul is immortal.

A vizsgálat során megismerhettük, hogy hogyan jött létre a Görgényi Református Egyházmegye, hogyan szakadt el a Marosi Református Egyházmegyétől, valamint anya- és leányegyházai sorsa hogyan alakult. Betekintést nyertünk II. József kiadott türelmi rendeleteibe, hogy ezek mit foglaltak magukba és milyen hatással voltak a kor református gyülekezeteire, illetve más felekezeteire. Láthattuk, hogy annak ellenére, hogy a türelmi rendeletek nagy része a reformátusok kárára szolgáltak, mégsem tettek ellene semmit, viszont végezetül elmondhatjuk, hogy a megmaradt néhány rendelet, mely a reformátusok javára szólt, elindította a Görgényi Református Egyházmegyét a fejlődés útján. Az egyházmegye keletkezésének és eseményeinek vizsgálata, valamint a kor református egyháztörténetének bemutatása után a legnagyobb egységhez értünk, az esperesi vizitációhoz, melyben elsőízben az esperesi vizitációról esett szó általánosan.

Tanulmányunkban azt vizsgáljuk meg, hogy ki volt Konnert Márton, hogyan került a József név az orgonák történetébe, illetve melyik név a helyes. Ugyanakkor közöljük a Konnert-orgonák történetét is.

A zilahi reformátusok a környéken egyedülálló módon 155 év alatt 3 orgonát építtettek, azokat rendszeresen javíttatták, és a gyülekezetben ez idő alatt 12 ismert és kevésbé ismert orgonaépítő fordult meg. Az erdélyi református orgonaépítési, vásárlási és javítási mutatókat nézve akár úgy is fogalmazhatnánk, hogy más gyülekezethez képest Zilahon az orgonaépítők egymásnak adták a templom kilincsét. Ekkora orgonaépítési, karbantartási kedv bizonyára összefüggésben volt a gyülekezet anyagi helyzetével, de legfőképpen azzal az igénnyel, amelyről Magyarósi István is írt: a zilahi gyülekezet mindig úgy gondolta, hogy istentiszteleti éneklése csak orgonaszóval teljes, és ezt nem megfelelő vagy romlásnak indult hangszerrel nem tudta elképzelni. Illő tehát, hogy ennek az igyekezetnek emléket állítsunk e tanulmányban.

Short History of the Lutheran Church District in Transylvania.The Hungarian Lutheran church in Transylvania has a unique history. At the beginning of it existence in the 16 century the Hungarian Lutherans joined the German Lutheran Church and have organized themselves as a deanery. They kept this structural form up till the end of the 19th century when they decided to split and have started to set up their own independent church district. As a first step they have formed a separate deanery which incorporated several Hungarian Lutheran local churches around Brassó, then mainly after the 20-es of the 20th century, they have restructured the local churches in the South-Western part of Romania and this is how three more deaneries came into being. This was enough to begin thinking on how these all could come together as a basic structure of a church district, which can be further broaden by incorporating more and more reorganized deaneries.
