The present study deals with the characteristic features of the ministry of teachers in the early church, contrasting them with the rabbis in the synagogues. As charismatic characters in the early church, teachers have played a role compa-rable to that of the apostles and prophets. In a different order of ideas, we would like to investigate whether the competence of charismatic teachers should be considered universal, or whether they played a rather local administrative role in the way bishops, deacons and presbyters did. At the same time, we shall analyse the content of their teaching aiming to define the place of teachers within the early church. We shall conclude with remarks concerning the development of the teachers’ status in the post-Pauline period.

A 100 éves Királyhágómelléki Református Egyházkerület liturgiatörténete több olyan tanulságos tényből áll össze, amelyek a jelenkor liturgikus útkeresésében is üzenettel bírnak. Sajnos sem a politikai, sem az egyházpolitikai játszmák nem engedték egy teljes belmissziói koncepció kialakulását 1920 után ebben az egyházkerületben, ezért az istentiszteleti élet alakulása is esetleges volt. Sajátos keserűsége a történetnek, hogy még mindig nem zárult le megnyugtató megoldással.

Basirius az a sokaknak ellenszenves intrikus személy, akiben a magyarországi és erdélyi közvélemény – számos tudományos publikáció és szépirodalmi mű hatására – mindmáig sem lát mást, mint Apáczai Csere János vetélytársát és tönkretevőjét, és 1655. szeptember 24. szomorú napjának főszereplőjét, aki a lenyakazott I. Károly angol király udvari papjaként potenciális királygyilkosokat látott és láttatott a korántsem vérszomjas erdélyi és magyarországi puritánokban, többek között a minden ízében lelki ember és elkötelezett pedagógus gyulafehérvári professzortársában, a politikával egyáltalán nem foglalkozó Apáczaiban is. A korábban lefordított és elemzett Basirius-levelek után most két olyan, nagyon sokrétegű episztolát szeretnék bemutatni, amelyek Erdély és a Rákócziak végnapjaiba vezetnek el bennünket. 

Franz Bos személyét azért választottuk bemutatásra, mert esetében megtalálható a titkos rendőrség munkamódszerének valamennyi eleme: a szigorú határellenőrzéstől a részletes ügynöki jelentéseken, figyelmeztetésen és a több irányú technikai eszközalkalmazáson át egészen a nyomkövetésig.

The second half of the 20th century can be characterised by a consolidation of all state structures of the Communist Party. The most important institution in keeping the power was the Secret Police (Securitate), which exercised a strict control over the Churches, including the Hungarian Reformed Church. The Securitate was mostly interested in the foreign contacts of the church. After the Second World War the Reformed Church has kept its contacts with the Reformed Churches in Hungary, as well as with many other Western European churches from the former West Germany, Holland, Switzerland, etc. The Secret Police’s purpose was to gather as many information as possible about the different contacts, and to control the whole issue.

During the Communist regime, in the sixties of the 20th century, the Protestant Theological Seminary started the student exchange program with churches and institutions from the Western part of Europe, mainly the Dutch Reformed Churches. It was in 1968 when the first Dutch couple came to spend one study year in the Seminary. After them students have been arriving each year until the end of the eighties. Coming from a capitalist, “unfriendly” country, the Dutch students have always been watched at by the Securitate (Secret Police) very carefully. Many informers were recruited from among the Reformed pastors as well as seminary professors to control the whole study process of the foreigners. The documents included into this paper are perfect samples of how the Secret Police usually acted.

A dolgozat négy egységre tagolódik. Az első egység arról szól, hogy Romániának, mint szocialista államnak, milyen külpolitikai és belpolitikai intézkedéseket kellett meghoznia. A következő rész a szocialista állam magyarságpolitikáját és valláspolitikáját részletezi, illetve mutatja be. Ebben a részben olvashatunk arról, hogy az egyháznak milyen lehetőségei voltak a kommunizmus alatt, illetve mennyi szabadságot biztosított az államhatalom a szabad önrendelkezés tárgykörében. A harmadik pontban a jegyzőkönyv összefoglalásával találkozhatunk. Itt foglalom össze röviden, hogy melyik ülésen mi hangzott el, illetve milyen határozatok születtek. Az utolsó fejezet a jegyzőkönyvet tartalmazza, az átírt szöveget. Megállapítom, hogy a jegyzőkönyvek tanulmányozása, illetve a dolgozat összeállítása rendjén szinte minden esetben az államhatalom mondta ki a végső választ minden kérdést illetően, amire az egyházvezetés, illetve az illetékes személyek kénytelenek voltak beletörődni.
