The Interpretation of The Epistle to the Colossians 1,1–11. These verses form the introduction to the Epistle containing the heading, the address, the greeting (vs. 1–2.), the thanksgiving (vs. 3–8), and the prayer of intercession (vs. 9–11.). The present essay belonging to the genre of Bible interpretation is going to be the first part of a commentary on this book. The reason for my having started elaborating it is that in the last thirty years no scientific interpretation on the book was published in Hungarian.

Adam und Christus. Im Allgemeinen gesprochen ist der rote Faden in Rom. 5,12–21 die Gegenüberstellung von Adam und Christus. Aber die genaue Herausarbeitung einer Analogie wird durchkreuzt von der Feststellung verschiedener Gegensätze bzw. Überbietungen. Die Wirkung des Erlösungsgeschehens ist größer und wunderbarer als die Wirkung des mit Adam begonnenen Unheilsgeschehens. Die biblische Grundüberzeugung von einem Zusammenhang zwischen Tun und Ergehen ist für die Exegese von großer Bedeutung. Adams Tat hatte zur Folge, dass der Tod zur allgemeinen Herrschaft gelangte.

By the Sound of a Great Crowd. In this short writing our purpose is to examine the problems of translation and interpretation of Jeremiah 11,16. In this biblical verse the word hmlh has many possibilities of translation. After a short presentation of the biblical background I will examine the Hungarian, English, German, Dutch, French, Greek and Latin translations of this biblical verse, and finally I will present my own translation. At the end of this paper I am going to draw a parallel between the meanings of this image in the Old and New Testament.

God’s blessing. In this short writing our purpose is to set forth the meaning and the biblical roots of the blessing in the Christian liturgy. Many people consider that the blessing is the final action of the Christian worship. Furthermore we witness the depreciation and trivializing of the blessing. But having analysed the meaning of the Greek, Latin and Hebrew words we have to state that blessing is not the final action of the liturgy. Blessing is not the end, but the beginning of the Christian worship. By the blessing God’s name is pronounced over the children of Israel (Numbers 6,27).

Deißmann a misztika lényegét és típusait még alaposabban kidolgozta, a páli Krisztus-misztikát az apostoltól kölcsönzött két kifejezéssel írja le: Krisztus Pálban (bennem), Pál (én) Krisztusban.Pál apostol szavainak titokzatos mélyégétől lenyűgözve az „élek pedig többé nem én, hanem él bennem a Krisztus” paradoxonja, a keresztyén lelki megtapasztalás legtöbbet idézett mondatává lett.
