The research titled "Protocols of Five Congregations of the Maros Reformed Diocese from 1687: Nyárádselye, Berekeresztúr, Nyárádszentimre, Nyárádszereda, Nyárádszentanna" examines the year 1687 and the Maros Reformed Diocese. The study aims to uncover and analyze the surveys conducted in these mentioned five congregations, which are associated with the specific time period. The research provides a comprehensive overview of the congregations' history, their life within the Reformed Church, and the collected data. Through the analysis and interpretation of primary sources, insights can be gained into the daily lives of the congregations, religious practices, and other characteristics of religious life during this period. The findings of the thesis contribute to the historical and religious research of the Maros Reformed Diocese, helping to understand the characteristics and challenges of the 17th-century Reformed communities in Transylvania.

A Magyar Patrisztikai Társaság Elnöksége 2017-ben a Társaság XVII. éves konferenciájának vezértémáját a reformáció 500. évfordulója alkalmából az egyházatyák munkásságának kora újkori hatásában, recepciójában adta meg, a reformáció és az ellenreformáció korára egyaránt vonatkozóan. A témakiírás több szempontból is érdekes és fontos, de a patrisztikus kutatások horizontjáról mindenekelőtt azért, mert felhívja a figyelmet arra a jelentős szerepre, amelyet az   ókeresztény   szerzők   (elsősorban   a   latin   nyelvűek,   mint   Tertullianus,   Jeromos,   vagy Ágoston, de  a  keleti   atyák   is,   mint   például  Baszileiosz,  vagy   Aranyszájú   János)   művei játszottak a reformátorok  műveltségében, teológiájuk, gondolkodásuk  alakulásában,  és  az ennek szélesebb kontextusaként jelen lévő humanista műveltségben és filológiai-könyvkiadói gyakorlatban.

Huszti Andrást, Nádudvari Pétert és Makfalvi Józsefet a szakirodalom az univerzalista tanok vagy más néven a remonstráns teológia erdélyi követőjeként tartja számon. Huszti András és Nádudvari Péter története többé-kevésbé már feldolgozott, de ezekből éppen teológiai tévelygésük pontos rekonstruálása maradt ki. Makfalvi Józsefről viszont keveset tudunk. Róla csupán néhány közlemény jelent meg, s így neve szinte ismeretlen a szakirodalomban.
