What is the Reformed prayer, and how does it look like? In my opinion, every Reformed believer should ask themselves this question sometimes, but they can not find an answer. However, we have Confessions, and so there is some guidance, but not a clear model by which we can put the theology of prayer into practice. This thesis aims to fill this gap. If we try to discover something about Reformed spirituality, we need to start from John Calvin, and the confessions of our Church. To see a clearer picture, I studied all the confessions that were available for me, from the Irish Confession and the Hungarian confession from Debrecen-Egervölgy to the two Westminster Catechisms. Most of them have a theological perception about prayer and this is what we can put into practice in our everyday spirituality.

Hogyan kell református módon imádkozni? Meggyőződésem, hogy ez egy olyan kérdés, amit időnként feltesz magának egy református hívő, ám sok esetben konkrét választ nem tudunk rá adni. Vannak ugyanis hitvallásaink, vannak irányelveink, de nem rendelkezünk olyan módszerrel, ami esetlegesen ezeket a gyakorlat nyelvére fordítja. Dolgozatom e hiányt igyekszik pótolni. Ha a református spiritualitásból indulunk ki, Kálvin megkerülhetetlen, ugyanúgy az egyházunk által elismert hitvallások is. Annak érdekében azonban, hogy minél teljesebb képet nyerhessek, igyekeztem minden rendelkezésemre álló hitvallás imádságról szóló tanítását összegezni. Az Ír Hitvallástól kezdve a Debrecen-Egervölgyi Hitvalláson át a Westminsteri Kátékon át látható, hogy szinte minden hitvallás megfogalmazza az imádság elvi alapjait, amik lefordíthatóak a kegyesség életére. Igyekszem tehát az alapelveket felsorakoztatni, oly módon, hogy az alkalmazható legyen a spiritualitás nyelvére.

In this research, I have explored the theme of the immortality of the soul in the light of Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul. The work is divided into two major parts: in the first part, I examined Plato's and Calvin's view of the soul and the immortality of the soul, and in the second part, I compared the results of the first part. In the course of this research, I have discovered the similarities and differences in the details of the two conceptions. Eight units of thought were identified for the comparison and within these units, different themes were compared between the two conceptions. In the last point, one of the main questions of the topic was answered, namely whether the soul is immortal or impermanent. Although Plato and Calvin had different points of view, in the end the two concepts were the same: the soul is immortal.
